Propaganda Can Be Beautiful

Yes, we posted this video last week, in Russian, but I thought it was even more powerful with English subtitles. Beautiful women who are attracted to strong men? Imagine that. Such a healthy concept would never fly here, where men are supposed to be weak, apologetic, and feminine and women who look like "Chaz" Bono are held up as model Americans. Putin, meanwhile, has made an extremely important speech in which he explains Russia’s policy to multiculturalism. The overall idea is that Russia is a country with several ethnic groups with ethnic Russians as the "core" and the "binding fabric."

Tim Thomas, Friend of Liberty
Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas
Tim Thomas, a goaltender who took years to achieve anything and spent a good part of his checkered career playing in Europe, is a maverick. He claims the right to think for himself, a dangerous idea in this age of get along and go along. And he made his point by being the only Bruin not to attend one of these traditional championship audiences in which the modern imperial president, a person who can make war with little objection from Congress, basks in the accomplishment of a championship team.

How Ron Paul Could Win

Both Republicans and Democrats have demonstrated disregard for the civil liberty protections guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Among the visible candidates for president, only Ron Paul has respect for the Constitution. As it is now possible for the executive branch to take away the life and liberty of a U.S. citizen without due process of law, the Constitution is for all practical purposes lost. Tyranny looms, and Ron Paul is the only candidate who stands against tyranny. This is why I have written that Ron Paul is our last chance and encouraged his libertarian handlers to be flexible enough for the electorate to elect Ron Paul. I agree that Ron Paul, if elected president, would be hamstrung by the Establishment, but the other candidates offer no hope whatsoever. What is at stake is not libertarianism, but the U.S. Constitution. Unfortunately, not many libertarians see that. Neither do many progressives. If truth be known, Americans are too divided and in opposition to one another to be able to unite against tyranny.

The Greatest Threat

Our rulers invoke these militaristic metaphors as exhortations to get us in line: we hear much about "unity," "unselfishness," glorification of "the mission" (whose mission?). These are the bromides uttered by tyrants and would-be tyrants, who would love to turn society into a civilian army. Their vision of the future is of a collective marching in lockstep down the road to whatever hellish fate they have in store for us. These days, however, they are having a harder time convincing us of the reality of the Threat. This is true for a number of reasons, but the main source of our skepticism is the overwhelming certainty that the Threat is coming not from without but from within.

Israeli Finance Minister Pushes Naval, Aerial Blockade of Iran

In an interview today with Bloomberg Businessweek, Israeli Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz rejected the European Union’s ban on importation of Iranian crude oil, insisting it doesn’t go nearly far enough. Instead, Steinitz called for the international community to impose a full naval and aerial blockade across all of Iran so that "no one can even go out [sic]." This is the only option with any chance of success, he said. Steinitz said a good model for his plan was the Cuban blockade by the United States in 1962, an effort which nearly ended with the annihilation of all life on earth in the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Democracy vs. Diversity

If the Arab Spring is good for democracy, then it has to be good for diversity, right? We know that democracy and diversity are virtually the same thing: Both words begin with a "d," end with a "y," and by definition are good. Who isn’t aware that minority protection (indeed, minority promotion) is the essence of majority rule? American intellectuals are confident of this because the Nazis were against democracy and diversity. And if you’ve heard of Hitler, what more do you need to know about history?

The Political Party Illusion

It has been said that every great nation has its rise and fall; that its rise occurs as a result of the population (in general) becoming determined to work hard to create a better life, and that its fall occurs when the population becomes spoiled, then complacent and then finally, apathetic. Much of the First World has reached this latter stage, all (to varying degrees) at the same time. Unfortunately, from a historical standpoint, the period of apathy is almost invariably followed by a period of bondage - a marked social and economic decline in which the people of the nation become little more than serfs of the state that rules them.

Avoiding a ’Dumb War’ With Iran

The American military has recently concluded what President Obama once labeled a "dumb war" in Iraq, so it behooves us not to undertake another dumb war against a country that is much larger, better prepared, and three times more populous. Such a conflict would not be containable and would set off a major regional war. Such a war, contrary to what some argue, would not be good for the United States, Iran, or even Israel, and it would make no one safer.

Banning Pat Buchanan from the media because one does not agree with his book violates freedom of speech and freedom of the press; because of the public nature of news reporting, I believe it is a violation of the First Amendment and is illegal. However, there are vigorous urgings to terminate Buchanan and Griffin seems to be heeding them. Zionists demand free speech for their monopolistic media as long as they can control it. Multi-culturalism has been promoted by the Zionist controlled networks and attempts to preserve the White European Culture are targets of this assault.

The world is waiting with bated breath for the U.S. and its allies to attack Iran. We said this is a game and that the U.S. is not logistically prepared for an Iran invasion. That we said will come in a year or more. Beating the war drums is not the same as war. The propaganda has been spewing forth for a month in order to relieve pressure on European financial problems simple misdirection and misinformation. We believe part of this game is the result of Iran selling oil in other currencies over the past two years. The basis for the dollar’s strength is the petro dollar and if that grip is broken the US dollar will be in serious trouble. Being a corporatist, fascist dictatorial state allows the U.S. to unilaterally do as it pleases. Financial sanctions on Iran will not work because they have powerful partners working with them, such as Russia, China, Japan and India.

Orwellian Dictatorship Watch: ’Predictive Policing’ Could Come to UK

A pioneering technique to predict crime before it happens could be imported from the United States to this country, a senior British police chief said yesterday. Pilots of the scheme - under which officers are dispatched to crime hotspots identified by computer - have had early success in California. The method of "predictive policing" was outlined at a criminal justice seminar in London by the US police chief, Captain Sean Malinowski, who has introduced it in a Los Angeles suburb.

Add in as well U.S. ally and Afghan President Hamid Karzai. Israeli Assassinations and American Presidents

Many of those criticizing Adler claim that he defamed Israel by suggesting that it would ever do such a thing. Abe Foxman, head of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), proclaimed: "There is absolutely no excuse, no justification, no rationalization for this kind of rhetoric. It doesn’t even belong in fiction." In reality, however, Adler’s expectation that Israel’s inner circles have explored such a course of action, and would be willing to undertake it, may be entirely accurate. The fact is that Israel has killed and plotted to assassinate people throughout the world; a number have been Americans. One alleged plot was chillingly similar to Adler’s suggestion.

White Middle-Schooler Beaten Unconscious by Group of Black Students

The girl reportedly was riding the bus for the first time. Someone threw a shoe at her, and she threw it back, hitting a student. That’s when the beating began. At least seven students surrounded the girl, punched her, held her head to the floor by her hair, and kicked her. The bus driver pulled the bus over, stopped the beating, and then continued driving. But the beating started again, so the driver diverted to a nearby school and called officials, and the girl was taken to the hospital. Aside from the brutality, there was another troubling fact about this crime-a fact that predictably did not make it into the news: the attackers were black, and the victim was white. Yet, for the first few days after the attack, not a single news outlet reported on the race of the victim.

The Truth Behind the Coming 'Regime Change' in Syria

The United States appears to be using a strategy in Syria that it has perfected over the years, having succeeded most recently in Libya: arming small paramilitary groups loyal to U.S. interests that claim to speak for the local population; these militants then attack the targeted government the U.S. would like to see overthrown - including terrorist bombings - and when the attacked government defends itself, the U.S. cries "genocide" or "mass murder," while calling for foreign military intervention. This is the strategy that the U.S. is using to channel the Arab Spring into the bloody dead end of foreign military intervention.

America’s economy was built under the shield of tariffs. Just remember, the budgets of government were paid without an income tax under this system of tariffs. Who can logically argue that the deception of Free Trade benefits our population, when the current record of trade deficits continues unabated?

Drowning in Hypocrisy

No government can be perfect, because all governments are composed of humans, especially those humans most attracted by power and profit. Nevertheless, in my lifetime I have witnessed an extraordinary deterioration in the integrity of government in the United States. We have reached the point where nothing that our government says is believable. Not even the unemployment rate, the inflation rate, the GDP growth rate, much less Washington’s reasons for its wars, its police state, and its foreign and domestic policies. Washington has kept America at war for ten years while millions of Americans lost their jobs and their homes. War and a faltering economy have exploded the national debt, and a looming bankruptcy is being blamed on Social Security and Medicare.

It is not the aim of this writer to defend the late congressman’s record in Pennsylvania, nor try to minimize his flaws and transgressions in other areas - he loved shoveling the pork into his district, especially into defense contracting businesses that directly benefited himself and his family, for example. By any other measure, he was one of hundreds of politicians on Capitol Hill today who have contributed to an overall atmosphere of institutionalized cronyism and hubris, the massive "feeding at the trough" that has eroded public confidence and paralyzed the federal budget process. That said, Murtha was a tough advocate for veterans and had come out early and strong against the war in Iraq, a war that the majority of veterans today say was a mistake. He maintained from the beginning that he raised the specter of Haditha because he felt Washington had unnecessarily created the conditions that led to the killings in the first place, and that a cover-up was engaged in order to hide the devastating truth.

With so many political candidates now at the very least paying lip-service to the concepts of Constitutional freedoms, limited Federal influence, and State’s rights, it may become increasingly difficult for voters to discern who is a snake-oil peddler and who is the real deal. Many who supported the rise of the Tea Party (originally launched by Ron Paul back in 2007-2008), suddenly found their efforts for a free America being hijacked by establishment fakes in 2010. Out of nowhere, gutter dwelling pro-globalist imposters like Rick Santorum could be found headlining forums at Constitutional rallies, and even veteran globalists like Newt Gingrich have tried to jump on the bandwagon. The light at the end of the tunnel, though, is ironically visible in the destructive nature of these candidates.

Without the Constitution we cease to be American citizens and become subjects of a tyrannical police state. My complaint is that the only candidate who could bring back the Constitution cannot be elected because of the inflexibility and sectarianism of his base. Possibly there are more worthy third party candidates, but they have no prospect of visibility. Ron Paul is visible, and the opportunity is going to waste.

Eliana Lopez Distraught, Says American Law 'Destroying my Family'

This case demonstrates the rigid nature of the American legal system where family law is concerned. If, for example, two business partners were involved in some minor altercation that led to a police call, say, at a party after having had too much to drink, the prosecutor would drop the charges without a second thought if the "victim" refused to cooperate. If a protection order had been issued, it would also be dismissed at the request of the victim. However, families do not have this option. This is because, according to feminist-inspired family law, wives have no "agency." What has happened is that the twisted logic of feminism, in insisting that the goal is to give women "agency," has argued that they do not in fact have any at all, because they are all victims of "The Patriarchy," which is a sort of stand-in for Satan in the feminist cosmology. Therefore, in their dealings with the opposite sex, because individual women cannot resist The Patriarchy, it is up to the "benevolent" institutions of government and law to make decisions for women (and sometimes against their will), thereby "empowering" them and striking a blow against the oppressor.

Extremism in ’Defense’ of Israel

We have millions of Christians in this country who have theological reasons for fanatically supporting the state of Israel, even over and above the interests of their own country - not that they would ever admit the possibility of any "daylight" between the nations. They are, to put it in popular parlance, "Israel-Firsters," and proudly so. Adler, for his part, appears to be at least a sympathizer of the Chabad movement, an international ultra-orthodox movement some of whose followers reportedly cheered the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin by a Jewish extremist. I won’t get into their theological justification for such kookiness: suffice to say that Chabad has allied itself with the most extreme elements, including within Israel, with parties and politicians who call for the expulsion of all Arabs. Chabad of Georgia claims Adler is not a member, but this has to be taken with a very large grain of salt: after all, visitors to the web site of his newspaper are greeted by a promotion for the local Chabad organization. Whether he is an official member, or merely a sympathizer, is a detail, however: the larger picture is that the scenario imagined by Adler in his piece reflects the all-too-familiar narrative put out there by our Israel-Firsters, and by the Netanyahu government, which is that Israel currently faces an "existential" crisis, the inevitable result of which will be a second Holocaust.

United Welfare States of America: In 2011 Nearly Half the Population Received Some Form of Government Benefit

While politicians may debate whether or not America is the most "generous" (with other generations' money of course) socialist welfare state in the history of mankind, the undoctored numbers make the affirmative case quite clear and without any chance for confusion. The single most disturbing statistic: in 2011 nearly half of the population lived in a household that receives some form of government benefit, which in turn accounted for 65% of total federal spending, or $2.5 trillion, and amount to 15% of GDP. And yet some people out there still think these people, long since indoctrinated to do little but mooch off the welfare state (which will continue subsidizing its existence so long as debt rates are so low that the government can issue trillions each year without fears of consequences) will halt their iTunes purchases, will voluntarily stop subsisting on the government's teat, or will rebel against a government which is their only source of income? Why? Especially since something tells us that there will be a peculiar overlap between this 50% and the 50% of Americans that pay zero taxes.

Men of my generation do share a thing or two in common due to our collective experiences. We were subjected for the first half of our lives to a school system that bloated our self-esteem with unwarranted praise and inflated our optimism with empty promises. Then the twin towers imploded on us. Then one sector of the economy after another imploded on us while our experts and educators insisted that everything was hopeful and changing for the better. More than anything, we've been longing for somebody on the national stage to level with us about how bad we suck, how disastrously off-course we've gone as a society and a nation, and how hope and change can only be had in exchange for deep and painful sacrifices and a radical realignment of priorities.

As we’ve suggested previously, the economic destruction following the collapse of 2008 is slowly, but surely taking its toll, forcing many people still holding on to a paradigm of consumption to dip into cash savings, retirement accounts and personal credit lines.

'World War III Will Occur in the Next Five Years,' But Equities Will Not Collapse

"This war will be different from World War I where troops faced each other in trenches or World War II where tank divisions faced each other, he said. This will be Cyber War. A war where you can turn a switch and turn the London electricity supply off. This will be a war where you can stop airplanes from flying and bring the whole financial system of a country to a halt," Faber said in an August 2011 interview.

The World War on Democracy

Obama’s most "historic" achievement is to bring the war on democracy home to America. On New Year’s Eve, he signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a law that grants the Pentagon the legal right to kidnap both foreigners and US citizens and indefinitely detain, interrogate and torture, or even kill them. They need only "associate" with those "belligerent" to the United States. There will be no protection of law, no trial, no legal representation. This is the first explicit legislation to abolish habeus corpus (the right to due process of law) and effectively repeal the Bill of Rights of 1789.

Beating Up on Chavez

Since inaugurated in February 1999, he's faced open US hostility, including by go-along major media scoundrels. New York Times writer Simon Romero's among them. On January 6, he and William Neuman played both Chavez and Iranian cards headlining, "Increasingly Isolated, Iranian Leader Set to Visit Allies," saying: President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's visiting "some of the United States' most ardent critics: Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba and Ecuador." Chavez "is Mr. Ahmadinejad's most vociferous ally in the region." Central University of Venezuela Professor Elsa Cardozo said his visit gave Chavez a chance to "project his own style and radical message. His core supporters are very radical and he doesn't want to lose them."

France Pulls Troops From Afghan Training Mission

French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Friday that he was suspending training operations in Afghanistan after an Afghan soldier killed four French soldiers and wounded a dozen more in a shoot out. Sarkozy also said the shooting raises serious doubts about the efficacy of NATO’s training mission in Afghanistan and could possibly lead France to withdraw its 3,600 troops from the mission sooner rather than later.

Stacking up Debt (and Bodies) in Illinois

When G8 leaders convene in Chicago this May to discuss managing the global economy, they’ll be meeting in a city that has botched its own finances so thoroughly, even its morgue is overcrowded. The Chicago Sun-Times recently reported that backlogged bodies are being stacked like Lincoln Logs in a cooler at the Cook County Medical Center. According to an unnamed source, 500 bodies-including the corpses of an estimated 100 babies-were crammed into a storage unit designed for 300. In some cases, infants’ remains were being placed alongside the cadavers of the "thinnest adults" due to the cramped space.

'Eternal' Flame Goes Out on Live TV

A U.S. TV station has captured the moment an 'eternal' flame at Martin Luther King Junior’s grave went out on live television - just as the country celebrated the human rights pioneer’s 83rd birthday. The unexpected hitch happened when an evening news reporter from station WXIA-TV was doing a live cross from outside the Martin Luther King Jr. Center in Atlanta. The anchor was describing the activities lined up to celebrate the Martin Luther King Day holiday, but just as the camera panned over the eternal flame it suddenly extinguished itself.

You Can't Fool Mother Nature For Long: Mainstream Media

We now live in an era of unmitigated propaganda that is accepted much as propaganda in wartime: we all know it's been censored or gussied up with positive spin, but we accept it as "necessary" because the Status Quo is under threat. This "rally round the flag" mentality in wartime allows horrendous officially sanctioned errors and the resultant loss of life to be glossed over or simply buried, lest the Home Front get discouraged by official incompetence or error. There is a subtext of this very belief system in the constantly cheery presentation of the "economic recovery" in painfully bogus unemployment statistics and analyses that are lacking in even Journalism 101 skepticism: we know it's all bogus but we fear the truth. So we accept the propaganda as "necessary for morale." There is a difference between now and World War II, though. In a full-blown global war, the nation itself was at risk. Now, it is the Financial and Political Elites who are risk. The Corporate Media's first and most critical line of propaganda is that if America's Financial and Political Elites fall, so too does the nation. This is of course false.

How Much Economic Freedom Do We Have in the United States?

The root of economic freedom is the recognition of the right to own private property. That includes the right to utilize it unmolested, to dispose of it without anyone's permission and to exclude anyone from it, even the government. Suffice it to say, no American president since the advent of the income tax and the Federal Reserve 100 years ago has fully accepted or meaningfully defended that right. The more the government extracts in taxes and the more it inflates the money supply, the more it rejects and assaults property rights.

China Failing, as Predicted?

After writing many articles in the past few years - long before it was fashionable even among alternative news services - explaining that the ChiComs were on the proverbial thin ice with their huge 1.4 billion population, we find this weird article explaining that China is about to tip over into outright rebellion. Even stranger, it appears on the Drudge Report, which is read by millions. Foreign Policy magazine is an elite mouthpiece and the Drudge Report, as good as it is, would not be tolerated (given its size) by US intel if it did not toe SOME line or other. You won't find a lot of articles on Drudge questioning the "official" story of 9/11, for instance. So perhaps the powers-that-be are coming to the conclusion that the Chinese Miracle is indeed an unsustainable one. And that people ought to know about it. It doesn't add much to the credibility of an already maligned mainstream press to be blindsided by the collapse of the world's biggest country, after all.

Monsanto Patents and Chemtrails

The patent for aluminum resistance mentioned in What in the World are They Spraying? turns out to be owned by the USDA and Brazil’s agricultural department, not Monsanto directly (although a good case can be made for Monsanto actually owning the USDA, but that’s another story) and evidently, made for acidic soil and will not be effective in an alkaline soil caused by chemtrailing. Therefore, it appears that this particular patent most likely is targeted for Africa, which seems to be a major biotech interest.

California -- America's First Failed State

In 1965, California housed a reasonable 15 million people. No traffic jams, little air pollution and everyone spoke English. Route 66, from Chicago to Los Angeles, ended at the Santa Monica Pier. Americans drove to Yosemite National Park for a delightful weekend of hiking. Tony Bennett sang, "I left my heart in San Francisco." California ranked among the top five educational systems in America. Hollywood produced incredible movies with Gregory Peck, Susan Hayward, John Wayne, Cary Grant, Marilyn Monroe, Robert Redford, Paul Newman and Jane Russell. I loved Gary Cooper. Bing Crosby sang away our troubles and Bob Hope laughed away our cares. Few criminals plied the streets of cities in California. Everyone pledged their allegiance to the United States of America and our stars and stripes. Skiers and surfers plied the waves and moguls. But in 1965, something happened in the Halls of Congress called the "Immigration Reform Act" pushed by the late Teddy Kennedy that changed the 200,000 annual incoming immigrants from compatible countries to 1.2 million third world immigrants annually.

'Red Tails' or Red Tales? George Lucas and The Myth of the 'Tuskegee Airmen'

In looking through history books detailing America's World War II Army Air Force 'aces', one thing stood out: the Tuskegee Airmen had absolute no impact on the course of the Allies winning the war over the Axis Powers. Not one of the famed Red Tails earned the honorific of 'ace' (meaning five or more confirmed aerial kills), compared to a list of more than 1,200 white American fighter pilots who earned that title during World War II. Aces like Chuck Yeager, who would go on to be the first person to break the sound-barrier, an arbitrary record in Black-Run America (BRA), a world that only honors those who were the first to break the much more important color-barrier. Contrary to contemporary claims, the involvement of the Black fighter pilots was inconsequential to the overall war effort. Yes, 72 members of the Tuskegee Airmen shot down 109 enemy aircraft, but when you consider America's great World War II 'ace' Richard Bong shot down 40 planes himself, you have to wonder why the story of the Black pilots overshadows one such as Bong's? Have you ever heard of Bong? But you've heard of the Tuskegee Airmen, right?

The Return of the Smear Bund

practically every major war we’ve fought since World War II has witnessed identical accusations hurled at anti-interventionists. Before, during, and even after World War II, opponents of US intervention in the European war were routinely smeared as proponents of Nazism. The antiwar writer and former New Republic columnist John T. Flynn detected a pattern in the activities of the pro-war groups, which were well-funded and relentless: he called them the "Smear Bund" because they specialized in tarring war opponents with the Nazi brush. Right up to today, the biggest antiwar movement in American history - the America First Committee, which had a membership of 800,000 - and which opposed US entry into World War II is widely considered to have been a pro-Nazi anti-Semitic organization, a lie that has long outlived its pro-Communist and pro-British perpetrators.

Lifeboat Feminism in Practical Application

This article by Rich Lowry over at NRO heaps shame upon the men of the Costa Concordia who allegedly jostled women and children on the way to the lifeboats. While I can relate to the author’s assertion that we as a society have lost something valuable when the strong push aside the weak, for indeed we have, it is but the natural and predictable consequence of decades of equalitarian social engineering that released women from the requirement to behave in a ladylike and chaste manner, and declared men and women absolutely equal and fungible. The author laments the lack of chivalry amongst the men; I assert it is merely what happens when men, having witnessed the liberation of women from their duty to act like ladies, decide that it is quite silly to die like men of auld for unrelated women and children.

Ron Paul Supports Call for 'Intellectual Revolution'

Following his second-place finish in the New Hampshire GOP primary, when Ron Paul stood before the television cameras to address the crowd, he didn’t crow about his personal victory or denigrate his opponents. Instead, he told supporters that "we are dangerous to the status quo of the country," and spoke about the power of ideas. "I think the Intellectual Revolution that’s going on now to restore liberty in this country is well on its way, and there’s no way they’re going to stop the momentum that we have started," Ron Paul said.

Banks and Nation-States Are the Walking Dead

We now inhabit not a land of zombie banks, but zombie states. This is the financial system of the walking dead. Governments, in their current form, will not exist in the very near future... and neither will their currencies... not in this form (it will all-out collapse or massive devaluation and at least a gold backing) very soon. That’s why we pay little attention to these sideshows -- the U.S. Government and its witches coven of Ratings Agencies playing chicken with the Eurozone, upping the ante to push the Euro over the edge and squeeze a few more years into the US dollar as the world reserve currency. It’s all a game of emperor has no clothes at this point. If you allow yourself to get caught up in the parade and circuses of it all you might get fooled into believing this system is sustainable.

Creating American Terrorists

Defenders of the recently passed National Defense Authorization Act, which declares the entire world to be a "battlefield" against terrorism and authorizes the U.S. military to detain indefinitely anyone suspected of being a terrorism supporter, have claimed that the White House will only use its new power carefully and with due process. Opponents note that the White House has never hesitated to use any new authority, no matter how outrageous, and that the trend of law enforcement and security agencies is to expand on powers granted, not to rein them in or limit them. The track record of the Obama administration on civil liberties is particularly bad, as it has broadened its definition of war powers, reneged on its promise to close Guantanamo Prison, and supported numerous dubious terrorism prosecutions. It has also become adept at silencing critics through the repeated exploitation of the state-secrets privilege, which effectively dismisses any case accusing the government of abuse or malfeasance.

Lee Siegel: The Horror of Implicit Whiteness
Lee Siegel, horrified Jew
Mitt Romney reminds Siegel of the bad old 1950s when White people like Romney ran the country and supported Joe McCarthy, worked hard and had lots of babies. The new elite hates the old America with a passion. Here’s the photo accompanying Siegel’s piece: Way too many White people. Good looking, healthy, rich White people. It’s enough to make a Jewish writer think pogroms and expulsions. Siegel longs for the day when the power of Whites is way less than it is now-when Whites don’t have the clout to matter much in presidential elections. White America is retro. Obama is the personification of the new America. And the only trait that matters is that he is non-White.

Paul Campaign To Newt, Santorum, Perry: 'It's Over'

Ron Paul's presidential campaign has a message for Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Rick Perry after they failed to get on the Virginia ballot - "it's over." The three candidates joined in a lawsuit seeking to challenge the signature requirement for the Virginia primary ballot, but were unsuccessful in winning the right to appear. "It’s over," said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton in a statement to the press. "Ron Paul, the candidate of real change, will face off against establishment flip-flopper Mitt Romney in the Virginia primary, making that that Tuesday less ’super’ for serial hypocrite Newt Gingrich, counterfeit conservative Rick Santorum, and Rick Perry, who I should mention is marginally attached to the presidential race."

With Increasing Conflict in Syria, Talk of 'Intervention' Escalates

Meanwhile, U.S. foreign policy analysts were adding their own ideas on how the next phase of America’s involvement in the region might look, with the Council on Foreign Relations’ resident Middle East "expert," Steven Cook, offering his pitch for U.S involvement in Syria. Writing in The Atlantic, Cook began by discounting the similarities of a Syrian invasion to U.S. "intervention" in Iraq. "Unlike Saddam at the time of the invasion, Assad is engaged in the mass killing of his own people," he wrote, and "unlike Operation Iraqi Freedom, there is a chance that the Arab League would support a humanitarian intervention in Syria, and any military operations could be undertaken multilaterally." Suggesting that action against Assad could be taken without UN sanction (ignoring congressional authorization completely), Cook warned: "If there is no intervention and political will to stop Assad’s crimes remains absent, the world will once again have to answer for standing on the sidelines of a mass murder."

Dead On Arrival: SOPA Shelved Indefinitely

Sponsored primarily by purported free speech advocates that include democrats and republicans alike, the SOPA would have fundamentally transformed the internet as we know it today. As Daisy Luther writes at Inalienably Yours, the bill was nothing short of a direct attack against the first Amendment and the right to free speech: On closer inspection, the legalese in the bill has the potential to eviscerate free speech....and like NDAA, without proof...only with suspicion of "wrong-doing". It's all about copyright infringement. If you tick off the powers that be, and you've quoted someone, somewhere, saying something, you may have infringed on their copyright. As a defendant, you are not even present at the legal proceeding allowing "them" to shut you down until you prove yourself innocent. How do they shut you down? Search engines are required to remove you from their listings. Internet Service Providers can be ordered to block access to your site. Advertising networks and payment providers can also be forced to cease doing business with you. This continues until you are proven INNOCENT. Wait - I thought it was innocent until proven guilty....oh....that was "before" the NDAA.

Following the argument, a neighbor videotaped Mirkarimi’s wife, and then called the police, leading to the arrest. However, this was not just your standard nosy neighbor, but rather a bona-fide feminist named Ivory Madison, who has headed the San Francisco chapter of NOW. The War With Iran Will Not Be One-Sided

We now have two contending worldviews. One buys what it desires by negotiating the price; the other grabs (or tries to) what it desires regardless of the price it (and others) may have to pay. Should a Third World War break out, it would differ from the First and Second World Wars where rival colonial factions fought for hegemony. This time, the winners of the two Wars are on the rampage; they have lost the propaganda war as their naked greed has been exposed in the public arena and their opponents are not colonial raiders. The Strait of Hormuz that links the Persian Gulf with the Indian Ocean has emerged as the axis mundi of international politics. Twenty per cent of the world’s daily energy supply (17 million barrels of oil) passes through this waterway which is the sole maritime link between oil-producing Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the rest of the world. Last month, Tehran threatened to block the strait in anger at Washington’s new sanctions against Iranian oil exports. A lengthy closure could cause a 50 per cent spurt in oil prices and wreck the global economy.
