Joe Walsh and the 9/11 Cover-Up: Jewish Power on Display

A group that can effectively silence any public discussion of credible evidence of Israeli foreknowledge of 9/11-with all the ramifications such a discussion would have for evaluating the war in Iraq and the diplomatic and military support the US gives to Israel-is powerful indeed. The same goes for their ability to be a pillar of utopian multiculturalism in the West while also being able to rally support for an ethnonationalist, expansionist Israel dedicated to apartheid and ethnic cleansing. Anyone who doesn’t realize that is simply not paying attention.

The Already Forgotten Iraq War

Will there be autocracy in Iraq or renewed civil war? The country seems headed for either one or the other, as Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki tightens the noose on Iraqi democracy and sectarian bombings resume. Mohammed Shayaa al-Sudani, Iraq’s human rights minister, recently declared that casualties in the roughly nine-year period since the American invasion in 2003 have now exceeded 70,000 killed and 250,000 wounded, according to Margaret Griffis of Antiwar.com. This official figure is probably a gross understatement.

Land of the Free Watch: Armed Officers Shut Down Ice Cream Stand

The park's popular ice-cream stand was unexpectedly shut down by state officials over the weekend, after the stand's operator made building improvements at the site without getting permission first. Mark Duffy, who has operated the dairy farm at the state-owned park for 26 years and has a lease with the state to run the stand, said armed Environmental Police officers showed up at stand on Friday evening and stood guard throughout the weekend, turning away customers craving delectable sundaes and frappes.

Censoring Black on White Crime in the Anti-White Corporate Media

Recently there was a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. At least six people were viciously attacked by mobs of local thugs as they left the venue. Three were hospitalized and at least two were seriously injured. Newark police say the primary motive for the attacks was not robbery. The thugs just attacked for the fun of it. The attacks appear to be part of a nationwide trend of racially motivated black on white mob attacks. However, the Newark Star-Ledger began to censor and downplay the attacks from the beginning. In fact they flat out refused to print the race of the attackers. I talked to two different people at the Star-Ledger who told me that the paper censors the race of crime perpetrators on purpose.

That Which is Unsustainable Will Go Away: Medicare

Here are the sobering facts about the number of workers and those drawing Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid entitlements in the U.S. While the government claims to have a "trust fund" to pay for Social Security and Medicare, this is illusory propaganda. There are no funds set aside to pay these entitlements--they are "pay as you go" programs funded by current tax revenues.

The Surveillance State: Knowing Every Bit About You

No one ever accused Jeremy Bentham of thinking small. The early 18th-century British philosopher, social reformer, and co-founder of the celebrated philosophical school of Utilitarianism, Bentham was known for his unconventional ideas. Like many self-styled progressive thinkers of his age, Bentham expended a considerable amount of energy dreaming up new ways to use the power of the state to protect private citizens from their own alleged follies. The concept of the Panopticon was probably Bentham’s best-known brainchild. An extravagant idea for its time, it has proven an enduring metaphor in our time and - far more importantly - prefigured our modern obsession with high-tech surveillance. Derived from Greek roots that mean "all-seeing," Bentham’s Panopticon was a building designed to house many people in close quarters whose rooms were so configured that a central authority, using a system of tubes and mirrors, could keep every inmate under constant surveillance. The Panopticon concept could be applied to prisons, factories, or any place where large numbers of people would live or work in close quarters. "Morals reformed - health preserved - industry invigorated - instruction diffused - public burthens [burdens] lightened - economy seated, as it were, upon a rock - the Gordian knot of the poor-law not cut, but untied - all by a simple idea in architecture," Bentham enthused, proclaiming that his Panopticon represented "a new mode of obtaining power of mind over mind, in a quantity hitherto without example." The energetic Bentham tried to persuade the British government to let him design a Panopticon prison, but was ultimately unsuccessful. Although he managed to persuade Prime Minister William Pitt the Younger of the Panopticon’s potential, Pitt’s successor shut down the project. But Bentham’s premise - of a system of comprehensive state surveillance to guarantee a pliant and docile citizenry - is still with us, magnified by the potency of 21st-century technology and zealously promoted the world over, but especially in Western nations, like Great Britain and the United States, that once viewed such state activities as abhorrent and dangerous to liberty. A decade after the defining crisis of our era, the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the United States of America is on the verge of becoming a Panopticon society, with powers of state surveillance far beyond the most fevered imaginings of Bentham and fellow pre-modern utopians.

Rock and Roll and a Reason Why American Musicians No Longer Capture the World's Imagination

I sit at the Yakitori-ya (BBQ chicken on sticks restaurant) and nurse my beer and a few delicious sticks of chicken. Tanaka san, the neighborhood school English teacher, howls besides me about the decline of Japanese civilization. "Japanese kids today don't care about studying English. They don't want to go to the United States anymore. They are not fascinated by the west. If Japanese kids don't learn about other cultures, especially the United States, Japanese culture is doomed!" He says. I think, "Japanese culture is doomed if Japanese kids don’t learn about American culture!?" I laugh and have another sip. Tanaka san comes from an older generation of Japanese that were born just after the war. He is from the generation that grew up with Elvis Presley and Rock and Roll music. The United States, to his generation of Japanese, represented dreams and freedom. Tanaka san even has posters of James Dean and Marilyn Monroe - American idols from a day long gone past - on the walls of his classroom. But, that's not what the United States represents to young Japanese people anymore.

The Exodus is Beginning

Commenter Highwasp pointed to an article on Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, who left the US for Singapore some time ago, and has formally renounced his citizenship, because it has become a hindrance in terms of doing business. Saverin stresses that he has nothing against the US, and isn’t even trying to avoid taxes, but rather to avoid troublesome US regulations that require foreign banks to report on American citizens. One law he cited, the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), has prompted a number of foreign banks to avoid American investors altogether. Such rules have increasingly become the norm in the US, where the government has steadily ratcheted up regulations and controls on citizens. Many of these controls were pioneered with family law and child support laws, which then opened the door to further restrictions in other areas. Some legislation appears to be aimed at preventing American citizens from leaving the country. For example, a recent bill proposed by California senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer would have those who owe taxes lose their passports, much as those who owe child support are not eligible to obtain a passport. The next step, in all likelihood, will be an effort to seize the passports of those who owe student loans. It is instructive that senators from California, a state that can’t balance its own budget, is turning the screws on all American citizens in an attempt to increase revenue.

Why U.S. Politicians Are Quiet About Europe's Meltdown

After the Greek elections struck fear into the hearts of the global banksters, the fallout remains uncertain. If the next Greek election produces an anti-austerity government, Greece will almost certainly make a speedy exit from the euro. If this happens - and it is looking increasingly inevitable - the consequences for the global economy are spectacularly gloomy. Yet U.S. media and U.S. politicians are largely silent on the issue, almost as if nothing were happening.

Acknowledging the Arrival of Peak Government

We can now see that the Central State faces an impossible contradiction: to pursue its primary purpose of protecting the citizenry from predation, it is granted powers that enable it to evade its own self-limiting mechanisms. Private concentrations of wealth gain control over the State’s machinery of governance, and the resulting partnership of private and State elites suppress the mechanisms that were intended to limit private influence over State power. To enhance their own power, these elites increase the State’s reach until it dominates the entire political, social, and economic system. This sets up an inherently self-destructive feedback loop in which the State’s actions to protect its self-serving elites weaken both the State and the nation. The State’s inefficiencies pressure the nation’s output, even as the State increases its share of the national income to maintain its self-serving elites and quiet its potentially restive dependents. The more the State expropriates, the less surplus is left for productive investment, and so the nation’s output continues to decline. This dynamic creates a positive feedback loop (i.e., a death spiral) of higher taxes and lower investment in productive assets.

Drone Warfare in America

How would Obama supporters feel if they learned that their beloved President was running far-to-the-authoritarian-right of arch-hawk Charles Krauthammer on one particular civil liberties issue? Sadly, the answer is that the most Obama supporters probably wouldn’t feel very much at all, because support for Obama has always predominantly been emotion-driven (he promised change "you can believe in", not "change that I can logically convince you will be beneficial"). But I digress. Charles Krauthammer weighed in on FOX yesterday to telegraph his opposition to bringing drone warfare to the skies of America.

The Case of the Missing Terrorists

Another easy mark for assassination would be former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who staffed up the Pentagon with neoconservative warmongers such as Paul Wolfowitz and Douglas Feith, who in turn concocted the false information used to justify the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan. Rumsfeld himself declared members of al Qaeda to be the most vicious and dangerous killers on earth. Yet Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Feith, Richard Perle, together with neoconservative media propagandists, such as William Kristol and Max Boot, have been walking around safe for years unmolested by terrorists seeking revenge or bringing retribution to those responsible for as many as 1,000,000 Muslim deaths. Condi Rice, Colin Powell, who delivered the Speech of Lies to the UN inaugurating the invasion of Iraq, and Dick Cheney, whose minimal Secret Service protection could not withstand a determined assassination attempt, also enjoy lives unmolested by terrorists. Remember the deck of cards that the Bush regime had with Iraqi faces? If terrorists had a similar deck, all of those named above would be "high value targets." Yet, there has not been a single attempt on any one of them. Strange, isn’t it, that none of the above are faced with a terrorist threat. Yet, the tough, macho Navy Seals who allegedly killed Osama bin Laden must have their identity kept hidden so that they don’t become terrorist targets. These American supermen, highly trained killers themselves, don’t dare show their faces, but Rodriguez, Rumsfeld, and Condi Rice can walk around unmolested. Indeed, the Seals’ lives are so endangered that President Obama gave up the enormous public relations political benefit of a White House ceremony with the heroic Navy Seals. Very strange behavior for a politician. A couple of weeks after the alleged bin Laden killing, the Seals unit, or most of it, was wiped out in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.

Israeli officials maintain that the nuclear-capable missile can hit any target within the range of 10,000 kilometers. In other words, it can hit even Russia, China or any part in Europe. It is now public knowledge that Tel Aviv is a powerful nuclear regime which has at its disposal a huge arsenal surmised to accommodate 300 to 400 nuclear warheads. Predator Nation

Ever since the Puritan minister John Winthrop first used the phrase in a sermon on shipboard on the way to North America, "a city upon a hill" has caught something of at least one American-style dream - a sense that this country’s fate was to be a blessed paragon for the rest of the world, an exception to every norm. In the last century, it became "a shining city upon a hill" and was regularly cited in presidential addresses. Whatever that "city," that dream, was once imagined to be, it has undergone a largely unnoticed metamorphosis in the 21st century. It has become - even in our dreams - an up-armored garrison encampment, just as Washington itself has become the heavily fortified bureaucratic heartland of a war state. So when Brennan spoke, what he offered was a new version of American exceptionalism: the first "shining drone upon a hill" speech, which also qualifies as an instant classic of self-congratulation. Never, according to him, has a country with such an advanced weapon system as the drone used it quite so judiciously, quite so - if not peacefully - at least with the sagacity and skill usually reserved for the gods. American drone strikes, he assured his listeners, are "ethical and just," "wise," and "surgically precise" - exactly what you’d expect from a country he refers to, quoting the president, as the preeminent "standard bearer in the conduct of war."

The Parchin Deception

The latest wrinkle in the War Party’s propaganda campaign aimed at Iran is a drawing - yes, you read that correctly - of an alleged nuclear weapons development project at the Parchin military facility. An Associated Press "exclusive" describes this new "evidence" of Iran’s alleged nuclear ambitions: "A drawing based on information from inside an Iranian military site shows an explosives containment chamber of the type needed for nuclear arms-related tests that U.N. inspectors suspect Tehran has conducted there.... The computer-generated drawing was provided to The Associated Press by an official of a country tracking Iran’s nuclear program who said it proves the structure exists, despite Tehran’s refusal to acknowledge it." The article goes on to say that "the image is based on information from a person who had seen the chamber at the Parchin military site" - Scout’s honor, cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die. This sort of "proof" wouldn’t fool a child - but then again, it isn’t meant to prove anything. The successful deployment of war propaganda requires nothing in the way of real evidence but merely the constant reiteration of accusations - so that the casual observer may be led to believe that with that much smoke being generated there must be fire.

Shed No Tears For Dickie Lugar

The great and the good are mourning the primary-elections defeat of Senator Richard Lugar of Indiana, lamenting the loss of one of the last "reasonable," "sensible," and of course, "serious" Republicans in the eyes of the national media. Why did the media love him? While Sen. Lugar was specifically targeted by conservative groups, his voting record was not especially Left-leaning. He was said to have a good relationship with Barack Obama but this was exaggerated; he usually cast a reliable vote against the President’s agenda. Instead, the media’s love and his constituents’ scorn were driven by his "internationalist" foreign policy and his support for illegal immigrant amnesty. In both cases, Sen. Lugar did his best to follow the approved liberal guidelines, support establishment consensus, and dampen populist impulses by whites. His entire career was a tight-rope act: seek the love of the Washington establishment while doing just enough to win reelection in a generally conservative state. In the end, the increasing radicalization of conservatives made it impossible for him to maintain that balance.

Lenders can vary the interest rates, and some borrowers are reporting rates as high as 18-20%. At 20%, debt doubles in just 3-1/2 years; and in 7 years, it quadruples. Congress has also given lenders draconian collection powers to extort not just the original principal and interest on student loans but huge sums in penalties, fees, and collection costs.

Rome Didn't Fall in a Day

Back in the '70s, I used to expect the government to suffer a financial collapse at which time it would have to quit doing most of the things it's doing because it would run out of money. That isn't what has happened. Instead of cutting spending it has printed more money and tried to increase taxes on various things. Like many things historical, there's a precedent for this. There's a proverbial saying that "Rome wasn't built in a day," but it didn't collapse in a day either. Probably most of the Romans who lived as the Empire was collapsing didn't realize that was what was happening, but plenty of them realized they weren't living in the good old days.

Cops Should Act Like Firemen in a Free Society

An important characteristic of both crimes and fires is the impossibility of knowing where either will occur. Firemen may have a general sense of the buildings that are at a higher risk of burning down, but they have absolutely no idea about which particular house will be the next one to catch fire (unless the firemen are the arsonists). Similarly, cops may have a general sense of what neighborhoods have a higher crime rate than others, but they have absolutely no idea which person will be the next one to commit murder or rape (unless the cops themselves commit the next murder or rape). Given that cops and firemen are both concerned to respond to events that cannot be predicted, it is extremely odd that they act so differently from one another. Firemen do not "patrol" neighborhoods in the hope of spotting the next house fire or car accident. They wait until someone calls them, and they respond accordingly. Cops, on the other hand, do "patrol" neighborhoods, hide under overpasses, dress up in "undercover" costumes and otherwise skulk about their communities looking for crimes that are being committed. What gives? Why don’t cops and firemen use the same strategy? Crimes can be predicted no better than fires, so why don’t cops just wait to be called instead of driving around looking for something that is impossible to predict? The answer is to be found in the fact that the United States is no longer a free country.

The central banks of the West-the US Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank, and the UK bank-are totally committed to the prosperity of the mega-rich. No one else counts. Marx and Lenin never had a target as exists today. Yet, the left-wing is today so feeble and brainwashed that it does not exist as even a minor countervailing power. The American left-wing has even accepted the absurd official account of 9/11 and of Osama bin Laden’s murder in Pakistan by Navy Seals. A movement so devoid of mental and emotional strength is useless. It might as well not exist. People without valid information are helpless, and that is where Western peoples are. The new tyranny is arising in the West, not in Russia and China. The danger to humanity is in the nuclear button briefcase in the Oval Office and in the brainwashed and militant Amerikan population, the most totally disinformed and ignorant people on earth.

John Derbyshire: Who Are We? - The 'Dissident Right'?

So this is the other side of the Right, eh? Not bad; though of course nothing like as classy as the hushed, oak-paneled, Chambers-of-Commerce-financed precincts of Conservatism Inc.,whose entrance is now barred against me by an angel with a flaming sword. The furnishings are a bit cheesy in fact, if you look too closely, which of course you shouldn't. Do those drapes really match that carpet? Nice people, though - most of whom, truth be told, I've known for a decade or more. And after watching Conservatism Inc. for a quarter of a century running along behind History's great rumbling juggernaut squealing "Would you mind slowing down just a teeny bit, please?" there is always the faint hope that this other crowd might actually turn us back some way towards liberty, sovereignty, science, constitutionalism.

A Tipping Point for Israel

A tipping point is where physical momentum, inclined in one direction, reverses its course, stabilizes, and then begins to move the opposite way. Those of us who have been arguing for a sane United States foreign policy in the Middle East have well understood that the odds on shifting the prevailing narrative have been heavily against us thanks to the overwhelming resources possessed by a powerful domestic lobby. Ten years ago in America, it was impossible to place even a letter in a mainstream newspaper or magazine that was in any way critical of Israel. Apart from Pat Buchanan, no one on television provided a critique of Israel and its policies. In the U.S. media, Israel was ever the beleaguered little democracy surrounded by savage Arabs.

The Five Stooges of Cleveland
The International Workers’ Disco Party known as May Day came early to Cleveland this year, but instead of starting with a bang, it began with a profoundly dumb silence on the evening of April 30. That’s when five bumbling young males were allegedly unable to detonate eight pounds of the plastic explosive C4 they’d attached to a bridge south of the perennially maligned Rust Belt metropolis. Although the press has mostly taken to describing them as anarchists, these comically inept five lions were also intimately involved with the Occupy Wall Street movement, which had taken a hiatus over the winter months because it was too frickin’ cold to topple the oligarchy.

Tiptoeing Through a Minefield of Pansy Asses
Although it remains unclear exactly what buggery has to do with ethical reporting, Professional Homosexual Dan Savage was there to unravel the mystery to a group of Seattle teens on April 13 at the National High School Journalism Convention. When he started ripping into the Bible-calling it "bullshit" and accusing it of not only being wrong about homosexuality, but also about slavery, masturbation, virginity, and, yes, shellfish-small clusters of students stood up and began leaving. Their exodus was largely quiet. They did not try to shout him down or sprinkle him with holy water. Savage called the retreating clusters of offended and presumedly Christian students "pansy asses." Looking so empowered that one would think he needs to carry extra battery chargers whenever he travels more than 25 miles, Savage gloated that he was "beating up the Bible," then apologized if anyone’s feelings were hurt. "But I have a right to defend myself," the defiant little banty rooster asserted. But nobody attacked you, ya douche. You were attacking them, and they quietly left.

Obama Embraces 'Gay' Marriage

It just seems like an easy issue for Obama to posture on, while trampling the Constitution into the dirt. When it comes to civil liberties, Obama has always talked a good game, and then acted more authoritarian than Bush. He talked about an end to the abuses of the Bush years and an open and transparent government, yet extended the Fourth-Amendment-shredding Patriot Act, empowered the TSA to produce naked body scans and engage in humiliatingly sexual pat-downs, signed indefinite detention of American citizens into law, claimed and exercised the power to assassinate American citizens without trial, and aggressively prosecuted whistleblowers. Under his watch the U.S. army even produced a document planning for the reeducation of political activists in internment camps. Reeducation camps? In America? And some on the left are still crowing that talking about being in favour of gay marriage makes him "pro civil liberties"? Is this a joke?

Land of the Free Watch: Media Characterizes Military Invasion of South Florida as 'Cool Tourist Story'

A joint drill between military and police in South Florida involving troops storming a building in the middle of the night was characterized by local media coverage not as a frightening example of how Americans are being acclimatized to accept a state of martial law but as a ’cool tourist story’. Panic-stricken residents in Coconut Grove were awoken at 1 am to the sound of simulated gunfire and explosions as military helicopters hovered over buildings and dispatched troops to the ground. The Department of Defense drills prompted a deluge of 911 calls, but instead of asking why the military is terrifying American citizens on U.S. soil with drills designed to acclimate the public to accept martial law, local news station WSVN-TV framed the incident as a ’cool tourist story’.

Supposed Would-Be Underwear Bomber is CIA Informant

U.S. and Yemeni officials have confirmed that the supposed would-be underwear bomber at the heart of an al-Qaeda airliner plot revealed this week was actually an informant working for the CIA and Saudi intelligence all along. Members of the Obama administration spent virtually all of yesterday parading throughout major media outlets claiming their intrepid counterterrorism efforts successfully foiled a terrorist plot to blow up an American airliner. But now officials have anonymously confirmed that the plot, like so many other "successfully foiled" terror attacks, was hatched by the CIA from the start. Instead of showing that the CIA and the counterterrorism policies of the U.S. are keeping Americans safe from harm, or that al-Qaeda is making "inroads," as former director of the National Counterterrorism Center Michael Leiter said, all this lauded incident shows is that the CIA can get weapons from shadowy sources and blow up planes, if it wanted to.

NATO: The New Holy Alliance

They’re cowering in Chicago, where the NATO summit is scheduled to open on May 20: the security arrangements go well beyond paranoia. They’re telling office workers in buildings adjacent to the site to "dress down," lest they become identified with the proceedings. A huge "security zone" is being imposed on McCormick Place, where the conclave will take place, and subway riders who must pass under the site will be subjected to pat-downs and other security measures. The airspace above the venue will be restricted, and any planes that pass through it will be promptly shot down. I have no doubt the original McCormick - Col. Robert Rutherford McCormick, publisher of the Chicago Tribune from the 1920s to the mid-fifties - is rolling in his grave as the NATO-ites prepare to convene in the place named for him. The Colonel denounced NATO, on the occasion of its formation, as the instrument of a destructive internationalism, one that would forever entangle us in the feuds and intrigues of a dangerous world: for his pains, he was attacked in The New Republic and even in The Nation (!) for "taking the Soviet line." As McCormick, along with such notables as Joe Kennedy and Herbert Hoover, warned against the folly of "collective security" embodied by NATO, the editors of The New Republic envisioned a Red Dawn-like future in which the Commie Colossus would sweep across Europe and leap the Atlantic "until the Stalinist caucus in the Tribune Tower would bring out in triumph the first communist edition of the Chicago Tribune." Now that the Colossus has been downed and the original rationale for NATO no longer exists, the same hysterics are the occasion for any suggestion that America’s international footprint - considerably enlarged by its participation in NATO - be scaled back, Not to worry: new rationales are readily available, and the prosecution of our eternal "war on terrorism" has breathed new life into NATO’s moribund body.

The Death Spiral of Debt, Risk and Jobs

What we have is a Central State and an economy that has borrowed and squandered trillions of dollars on consumption and malinvestment in unproductive "stranded" assets. The debt and risk pile up, while the labor that results from consumption is temporary and does not create wealth or permanent employment. Figuratively speaking, we're stranded in a McMansion in the middle of nowhere, a showy malinvestment that produces no wealth or value, and we're wondering how we're going to pay the gargantuan mortgage and student loans. Debt and the risk generated by rising debt create a death-spiral when the money is squandered on consumption, phantom assets, speculation and malinvestments. Sadly, that systemic misallocation of capital puts the job market in a death spiral, too.

Millions of members of the White community now have explicit permission from media heavy weights to start talking in terms of MSM protecting blacks and hurting Whites. That's the new "narrative," and it works to bring more over to our side. Why should we care about whether or not blacks get embarrassed? Why can't we shame them into reforming, just like the NAACP shamed Whites into outlawing lynching? Are blacks supposed to be protected from shame?

Solomon was among the respondents to a new AP-GfK poll, released today, that shows support for the war in Afghanistan has reached an all-time low, with only 27 percent of Americans saying they back the war and roughly half of those say that the ongoing American occupation is doing more harm than good. President Paul

If elected president, Paul's most valuable contribution to a prosperous and secure American future might well lie in his application of a noninterventionist foreign policy, following the wishes of George Washington and the other founders. Before explaining why Paul's foreign policy would benefit the United States, it is worth rebutting those ill-educated jackasses in politics, the media, and the academy who denigrate the founders as "dead white males." To them, the modern world is so different from Washington's time that nothing the founders said or wrote pertains to contemporary foreign-policymaking. Such self-serving and ahistoric attitudes allow their advocates to pursue policies negating the Constitution, piling up debt, and fueling relentless intervention abroad.

The Hive and the Heterodoxy

Last month in this space we discussed the role of top foreign policy/national security think tanks as standard-bearers for the military establishment and political status quo in Washington. It’s a dizzy game that is no doubt taken seriously by many scholars who are quite earnest and impassioned about their respective fields of research, but it is also a hive, inhabited, too, by overweening courtiers and navel-gazing elite who shuffle around cyclical cocktail parties and windbag conferences, assuring their place. It’s these types you see more often than not, quoted in newspapers and magazines and cooling their heels in mainstream media green rooms waiting to get on the air and when they do, they set the tone - they tell people what to think and how to think about the most complicated issues of our time. Like war. The BorgThat is what ultimately makes this more than just a harmless menagerie. If, like the Borg, the Beltway hive is wired to support the health and wealth of the national security state as the source of U.S. power projection abroad (whether it be humanitarian interventionism, neoconservatism or plain old corporatism), then the thrust of their output is to support war and the current trajectory of aggressive defense spending.

The Selective Service System’s new privacy rules were published in the Federal Register on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, four days after the September 16 announcement by World Net Daily that the Maricopa County (Arizona) Sheriff’s Office "Cold Case Posse" was opening an inquiry with full subpoena power into alleged forgery of several documents concerning Obama’s birth and draft registration.

The Coming Race War in America

The response of whites to riots by blacks has always been to back away. This prudence, as it is thought to be, has been enforced by the government. If a minority in Russia started burning cities, the army would shoot the rioters on sight. America doesn’t work that way, or hasn’t recently. The lack of consequences for beatings and flash-mobbings, the history of saying "racism" and walking, produces a sense of untouchability in blacks. It could be a mistake. A spring is being wound. On one hand, when you live in a sprawling tightly packed concentration of people like yourself, it is easy to forget that you are very much a minority, that the majority holds all the high cards, and that food doesn’t really come from Safeway. On the other hand, via the internet whites now know of the racial attacks, and grow quietly very sick of them. There is among many white men an undercurrent of "Bring it on."

So Long, U.S. Dollar

There's a major shift under way, one the U.S. mainstream media has left largely untouched even though it will send the United States into an economic maelstrom and dramatically reduce the country's importance in the world: the demise of the U.S. dollar as the world's reserve currency. For decades the U.S. dollar has been absolutely dominant in international trade, especially in the oil markets. This role has created immense demand for U.S. dollars, and that international demand constitutes a huge part of the dollar's valuation. Not only did the global-currency role add massive value to the dollar, it also created an almost endless pool of demand for U.S. Treasuries as countries around the world sought to maintain stores of petrodollars. The availability of all this credit, denominated in a dollar supported by nothing less than the entirety of global trade, enabled the American federal government to borrow without limit and spend with abandon. The dominance of the dollar gave the United States incredible power and influence around the world... but the times they are a-changing. As the world's emerging economies gain ever more prominence, the U.S. is losing hold of its position as the world's superpower. Many on the long list of nations that dislike America are pondering ways to reduce American influence in their affairs. Ditching the dollar is a very good start.

Global Reality -- Surplus of Labor, Scarcity of Paid Work

The global economy is facing a structural surplus of labor and a scarcity of paid work. Here is the critical backdrop for the global recession that is unfolding and the stated desire of central banks and states everywhere for "economic growth": most of the so-called "growth" since the 2008 global financial meltdown was funded by sovereign debt and "free money" spun by central banks, not organic growth based on rising earned incomes. Take away the speculation dependent on "free money" and the global stimulus dependent on massive quantities of fresh debt, and how much "growth" would be left? What policy makers and pundits dare not admit is that the global economy is entering the "end of paid work" foreseen by Jeremy Rifkin. I have covered this topic in depth many times, starting with End of Work, End of Affluence. The industries that are rapidly increasing productivity and profits are doing so by eliminating jobs and the need for labor. The Web is chewing up industry after industry, wiping out entire sectors that once supported hundreds of thousands of jobs while creating a few thousand new jobs that require high-level skills and mobility.

How Many Christians Are on Israel's Supreme Court?

I’m guessing it’s probably zero. Just a hunch. So why do Jews, about 2% of the population, make up a third of the highest court in this (once) Christian nation? Plus, Elena Kagan is not only a radical liberal who wants to restrict "hate speech" (i.e., speech by white conservatives), she’s also a lesbian. Liberals were bragging about her being the first openly queer Supreme Court justice, but then the Obama crowd told them to shut up, because she’s never officially announced her perversion. Well, everyone in DC knows it. And even if they hadn’t told us, it’s pretty obvious - for crying out loud, she could be Fred Flintstone’s stunt double. Of course, the media aren’t talking about Jews being one third of the Supreme Court while only making up 2% of the population. There are reasons for that. And if Obama gets his way, he’ll make the court 2/3 Jewish before he leaves office, and the media would still pretend that this was perfectly normal and natural.

Kevin Rafferty's May 2 article, "Inviting economic suicide?," is correct on the main points: Japan is in an economic tailspin and this is of grave concern for our well-being. But so, too, is the rest of the industrialized world as the 500-year-old banking system, which is based on fraudulent accounting tricks, comes unraveled. This process runs parallel to our civilizational technospheric breakdown, witnessed by the crumbling and cracking of global infrastructure. The two issues are related and rooted in a flawed economic model based on greed and materialism, whereby affluence becomes the instrument of global environmental and human destruction.

China is thus spared a multiethnic society’s massive inefficiencies and vexations. Whatever may happen to their system of government, they will at least be dealing with each other without ethnic rancor. The 21st century will not be like that for America. What will it be like? I think genetics blogger "TangoMan" gets it pretty much right in this very interesting comment thread on Chuck Rudd’s blog: As the demography changes further and we become a minority-majority nation, the costs of maintaining equality of outcome become ever more onerous so more taxes must be raised, more spending must be dedicated towards social programs designed to equalize outcomes, more restrictions on freedom must be imposed to maintain good order and the burden on high income whites and Asians grows and the prospects for their children diminish as they enter a world ruled by a racial spoils system. As TangoMan also points out (further down the thread): "The majority of children in kindergarten last year were NAMs [i.e., Non-Asian Minorities]." The die is cast.

Resist by Boycotting Your Bank

The Money Power's goals are obvious. It is not just the massive multi trillion wealth transfer that is under way. It is about bringing the West down a few notches. The US seems strong with a nominal $30,000 per capita GDP, but when the dollar devalues against the Brazilian Real and the Chinese Yuan, things will quickly look different. It will also be the end cheap raw materials. The reason this crisis exists is because the banks, politicians, the media and economists are colluding in fooling the many into believing we need banks for our money supply. Most of them probably even believe this is true themselves. They say we need the banks, because otherwise the real economy would have no money to trade with. All this is complete and utter rubbish, of course. If banks can create credit, then anybody can. That's just common sense. Just imagine: we are led to believe that we need to cough up trillions just to have a means of exchange that is completely paper/computer based, i.e., almost free of cost.

Movie analysts are projecting potential $500 million gross total weekend. The Avengers already made $178.5 million in its overseas debut last weekend. And yet there is a problem.

The Man With Messianic Tendencies

In other countries, they do it more quietly. They just inform the elected leaders that, if they don’t desist from their disastrous policies, the officers will make their views public and precipitate their downfall. Such officers are generally called a "junta", the Spanish word for "committee" used by South American generals. Their method is usually called a "putsch", a German-Swiss term for a sudden blow. (Yes, the Swiss actually had revolts some 170 years ago.) What almost all such coups have in common is that their instigators thrive on the demagoguery of war. The politicians are invariably accused of cowardice in face of the enemy, failure to defend national honor, and such. Not in Israel. In our country we are now seeing a kind of verbal uprising against the elected politicians by a group of current and former army generals, foreign intelligence and internal security chiefs. All of them condemn the government’s threat to start a war against Iran, and some of them condemn the government’s failure to negotiate with the Palestinians for peace.

Time for a Military Coup in Israel?

The mounting public criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by past and present members of the Zionist state’s defense and intelligence establishments triggered the recall of a comment made to me by one of its former Directors of Military Intelligence.

Disinformation on Every Front

Some readers have come to the erroneous conclusion that the Matrix consists of Republican Party disinformation as if there is no disinformation from the left. Others think that propaganda is the business of Obama and the Democrats. In fact, propaganda from the right, the left and the middle are all part of the disinformation fed to Americans.

Good Sex, Bad Sex

Let’s see...Marriage rates dropping precipitously, men taking path of least resistance and dropping out, illegitimacy skyrocketing, class divisions hardening, children growing up fatherless and with fewer options. For most of us, it’s been quite negative. I wish I could say there was a solution to the problem, but it looks pretty hopeless. The alternative to what used to be seen as bad sex - marriage - has been all but destroyed by the liberation of female sexuality and the redefinition of marriage as little more than a federal tax status; a sort of very risky corporation with arbitrary rules. The result is that for men, there is really no such thing as "good sex," that is, socially-approved sex - it’s a risk no matter what. Furthermore, a society in which the overwhelming majority of women are fornicators gives men no choice; you just aren’t getting a wife in the traditional sense of the word, so why bother with marriage? I think men ought to realize that we got suckered in this deal, and perhaps we should have listened to the old sages who have warned us over the centuries.

RaceBall 2012

On Easter Sunday, two weeks into the 2012 Major League Baseball season, the late Jackie Robinson was worshipped, as he is every April 15th. Every player and coach in all 15 games played that day wore Robinson’s number 42 to pay tribute to the man who broke baseball’s "color barrier" in 1947. And, as has been the case in recent years, Jackie Robinson Day provided the perfect opportunity for black baseball players, Robinson’s white former friends, and even baseball’s white commissioner to complain that there are not enough blacks in the sport. In the upcoming months, there will be more of this hand-wringing.
