Ron Paul: Nothing Orderly About the Currency Collapse That’s Coming

aa-dollar - collapsing like titanic Officials in charge of monetary policy are very aware of what’s coming — they believe as long as it is orderly they will be ok. The problem is when people lose confidence in a currency, they lose confidence completely. There’s nothing orderly about it! There’s always a panic, and that’s hard to manage. There will be a day when people will panic in the financial markets, not only in the dollar, but in the world-wide system. http://www.silverdoctors.com/ron-paul-nothing-orderly-about-the-currency-collapse-thats-coming-it-will-be-a-panic/

Ron Paul: Neo-Con Krauthammer Wrong on Russia-China Trade Deal

aa-Ron Paul On the Ron Paul Channel, Dr. Paul reviews a recent article by neoconservative writer Charles Krauthammer, in which Krauthammer expresses his great fear that U.S. “influence” is on the decline after a $400 billion trade deal between Russia and China was signed last month. “It’s almost as if he is terrified that peace may be breaking out,” said Dr. Paul. http://www.lewrockwell.com/2014/06/daniel-mcadams/ron-paul-takes-down-another-neocon/

Obama’s Drone Wars Undermine American Values

aa-Dees - drone attack How can we get rid of all the people who may seek to do us harm if our drone and occupation policies continually create even more al-Qaeda members? Are we not just creating an endless supply of tomorrow’s terrorists with our foolish policies today? What example does it set for the rest of the world if the US acts as if it has the right to kill anyone, anywhere, based simply on that individual’s behavior? We should keep all of this in mind when the US administration lectures world leaders about how they should act in the 21st century. Recently, the US administration admonished Russian president Vladimir Putin for his supposed interference in the affairs of Ukraine, saying that violating the sovereignty of another country is not the 21st century way of conducting international relations. I agree that sovereignty must be respected. But what about the US doing the same thing in places like Yemen? What about the hundreds and even thousands killed by US drones not because they were found guilty of a crime, but because they were exhibiting “behaviors” that led a CIA drone operator safely hidden in New Mexico or somewhere to pull the trigger and end their lives? http://original.antiwar.com/paul/2014/04/28/obamas-drone-wars-undermine-american-values/#.U1-st9qioyU.email

Nevada Standoff a Symptom of Increasing Authoritarianism

aa-cliven bundy - good one of freedom fighters by Ron Paul. The nation’s attention has for the past few weeks been riveted by a standoff in Nevada between armed federal agents and the Bundys, a ranching family who believe the federal government is exceeding its authority by accessing “fees” against ranchers who graze cattle on government lands. Outrage over the government’s use of armed agents to forcibly remove the Bundys’ cattle led many Americans to travel to Nevada to engage in non-violent civil disobedience in support of the family. http://www.lewrockwell.com/2014/04/ron-paul/lesson-from-the-nevada-stand-off/

Crimea Secedes — So What?

aa-secede by Ron Paul. Opponents of the Crimea vote like to point to the illegality of the referendum. But self-determination is a centerpiece of international law. Article I of the United Nations Charter points out clearly that the purpose of the U.N. is to “develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples.” Why does the U.S. care which flag will be hoisted on a small piece of land thousands of miles away? Critics point to the Russian “occupation” of Crimea as evidence that no fair vote could have taken place. Where were these people when an election held in an Iraq occupied by U.S. troops was called a “triumph of democracy”? Perhaps the U.S. officials who supported the unconstitutional overthrow of Ukraine’s government should refocus their energies on learning our own Constitution, which does not allow the U.S. government to overthrow governments overseas or send a billion dollars to bail out Ukraine and its international creditors. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article37991.htm#.UymZLbWWDvw.email

Ron Paul Slams U.S. on Crimea Crisis – Says Russia Sanctions Are ‘An Act Of War’

aa-Ron Paul The former Republican congressman and three-time presidential candidate Ron Paul has launched a scathing attack on what he calls a U.S.-backed coup in Ukraine, insisting the Crimean people have the right to align their territory with Moscow and characterising sanctions against Russia as “an act of war.” He also said providing economic aid to Ukraine was comparable to giving support to rebels in Syria knowing it would end up in the hands of al-Qaida. The libertarian guru’s remarks in an interview with the Guardian are almost diametrically opposed to those of his son, the Republican presidential hopeful Rand Paul, who has called for stiff penalties against Russia and declared: “If I were president, I wouldn’t let [Russian president] Vladimir Putin get away with it.” http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article37968.htm#.Uyb9zvg4Vho.email

Ron Paul: ‘Leave Ukraine Alone’

aa-America First shield good one Why are U.S. government officials so eager to tell the Ukrainians what they should do? Has anyone bothered to ask the Ukrainians? What if might help alleviate the ongoing violence and bloodshed, if the Ukrainians decided to re-make the country as a looser confederation of regions rather than one tightly controlled by a central government? Perhaps Ukraine engaged in peaceful trade with countries both to the west and east would benefit all sides. But outside powers seem to be fighting a proxy war, with Ukraine suffering the most because of it. If you asked most Americans how they feel, my bet is that you would discover they are sick and tired of the U.S. government getting involved in every crisis that arises. Certainly the American people want none of of this intervention in Ukraine. They understand, as recent polls have shown, that our interventionist foreign policy is only creating more enemies overseas. And they also understand that we are out of money. We could not afford to be the policemen of world even if we wanted to be. And I bet if we asked the Ukrainians, a vast majority of them would prefer that the U.S. — and Russia and the European Union — stay out their affairs and respect their sovereignty. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-02-24/ron-paul-leave-ukraine-alone

Warfare, Welfare, and Wonder Woman — How Congress Spends Your Money

aa-Congress - monkees by Ron Paul. Ever since “sequestration” went into effect at the beginning of last year, the military-industrial complex’s congressional cheering session has complained that sequestration imposed “draconian cuts” on the Pentagon that will “decimate” our military — even though most of the “cuts” were actually reductions in the “projected rate of growth.” In fact, under sequestration, defense spending was to increase by 18 percent over ten years, as opposed to growing by 20 percent without sequestration. Many of the defenders of increased war spending are opponents of welfare, but they are willing to set aside their opposition to increased welfare spending in order to increase warfare spending. They are supported in this position by the lobbyists for the military-industrial complex and the neoconservatives, whose continued influence on foreign policy is mystifying. After all, the neocons were the major promoters of the disastrous military intervention in Iraq. While many neocons give lip service to limiting domestic spending, their main priority remains protecting high levels of military spending to maintain an interventionist foreign policy. The influence of the neocons provides intellectual justification for politicians to vote for ever-larger military budgets — and break the campaign promises to vote against increases in spending and debt. Fortunately, in recent years more Americans have recognized that a constant defense of liberty requires opposing both war and welfare. Many of these Americans, especially the younger ones, have joined the intellectual and political movement in favor of limiting government in all areas. This movement presents the most serious challenge the bipartisan welfare-warfare consensus has faced in generations. Hopefully, the influence of this movement will lead to bipartisan deals cutting both welfare and warfare spending. http://the-free-foundation.org/tst1-20-2014.html

What Was Not Said About Iraq

by Ron Paul. October was Iraq’s deadliest month since April, 2008. In those five and a half years, not only has there been no improvement in Iraq’s security situation, but things have gotten much worse. More than 1,000 people were killed in Iraq last month, the vast majority of them civilians. Another 1,600 were wounded, as car bombs, shootings, and other attacks continue to maim and murder. http://ronpaulinstitute.org/archives/featured-articles/2013/november/03/what-was-not-said-about-iraq.aspx

Ron Paul Predicted the March to War Against Syria in 2012

When Will We Attack Syria? Plans, rumors, and war propaganda for attacking Syria and deposing Assad have been around for many months. This past week however, it was reported that the Pentagon indeed has finalized plans to do just that. In my opinion, all the evidence to justify this attack is bogus. It is no more credible than the pretext given for the 2003 invasion of Iraq or the 2011 attack on Libya. The total waste of those wars should cause us to pause before this all-out effort at occupation and regime change is initiated against Syria. There are no national security concerns that require such a foolish escalation of violence in the Middle East. http://www.silverdoctors.com/ron-paul-in-2012-pentagon-has-finalized-plans-to-attack-syria-all-the-evidence-to-justify-the-attack-is-bogus/

Yet there was a large number of people responding to Republicans and Democrats in opposition to this.” http://www.lewrockwell.com/2013/08/russia-today/snowden-and-manning-should-be-treated-as-heroes/

Why the 2,776 NSA Violations Are No Big Deal

by Ron Paul. Americans are increasingly concerned over these violations of their privacy. Calls for reform grow. However, whenever Washington finds itself in a scandal, the government responds by naming a government panel made up of current and former government employees to investigate any mistakes the government might have made. The recommendations invariably are that even more government employees must be hired to provide an additional layer or two of oversight. That is supposed to reassure us that reforms have been made, while in fact it is just insiders covering up for those who have hired them to investigate. Let us hope the American people will decide that such trickery is no longer acceptable. It is time to take a very serious look at the activities of the U.S. intelligence community. The first step would be a dramatic reduction in appropriations to force a focus on those real, not imagined, threats to our national security. We should not be considered the enemy. http://www.lewrockwell.com/2013/08/ron-paul/those-2776-nsa-violations/

Ron Paul Calls NSA’s Alexander and Clapper Liars

Paul referred to NSA Deputy Director John Inglis’ admission that the agency’s warrantless wiretapping only prevented maybe one terrorist plot and even that one is questionable, which contradicts the NSA’s earlier claim of 54 thwarted plots. “It’s all based on lies and I think this is probably a benefit to us because most Americans now are being very, very leery of what our government tells us,” Paul continued. “This is a terrible thing to have to go through… who wants to have to give up on their country?” “We don’t want to give up on our country but I think it’s high time we gave up on a lot of our politicians and the way our government is being run.” http://www.infowars.com/ron-paul-calls-nsas-alexander-and-clapper-liars/

Why Won’t They Tell Us the Truth About NSA Spying?

The NSA's new humongous data storing center in Utah

by Ron Paul. In 2001, the Patriot Act opened the door to U.S. government monitoring of Americans without a warrant. It was unconstitutional, but most in Congress over my strong objection were so determined to do something after the attacks of 9/11 that they did not seem to give it too much thought. Civil liberties groups were concerned, and some of us in Congress warned about giving up our liberties even in the post-9/11 panic. But at the time most Americans did not seem too worried about the intrusion. This complacency has suddenly shifted given recent revelations of the extent of government spying on Americans. Politicians and bureaucrats are faced with serious backlash from Americans outraged that their most personal communications are intercepted and stored. They had been told that only the terrorists would be monitored. In response to this anger, defenders of the program have time and again resorted to spreading lies and distortions. But these untruths are now being exposed very quickly. http://original.antiwar.com/paul/2013/08/04/why-wont-they-tell-us-the-truth-about-nsa-spying/#.Uf_IY06YWiY.email

Look What This ‘Conspiracy Theorist’ Had To Say Back in 1984

Back in 1984, well before most Americans had ever heard of mobile phones or used a computer, the Federal government was hard at work mining whatever data they could get their hands on. President Reagan was in office and given his staunch stance on limited government no one could possibly have suspected that he, of all people, would be the Commander in Chief presiding over a fledgling surveillance state. Despite the ignorance of our populace and attempts to keep the American people in the dark, one lone wolf on the floor of the Congress had the prescient insight to understand what was really going on… and where it would one day lead. He’s one of the original conspiracy theorists… referred to by many is a quack or a nut for his non-mainstream views of government and his constant warnings of tyranny on our doorstep. Today his ‘theories’ have been proven to be 100% fact. http://lewrockwell.com/slavo/slavo158.html

Government Spying: Should We Be Shocked?

by Ron Paul. Some of us were arguing back in 2001 with the introduction of the so-called PATRIOT Act that it would pave the way for massive US government surveillance – not targeting terrorists but rather aimed against American citizens. We were told we must accept this temporary measure to provide government the tools to catch those responsible for 9/11. That was nearly twelve years and at least four wars ago. We should know by now that when it comes to government power-grabs, we never go back to the status quo even when the “crisis” has passed. That part of our freedom and civil liberties once lost is never regained. How many times did the PATRIOT Act need renewed? How many times did FISA authority need expanded? Why did we have to pass a law to grant immunity to companies who hand over our personal information to the government? It was all a build-up of the government’s capacity to monitor us. http://www.infowars.com/government-spying-should-we-be-shocked/

The IRS’s Job is to Violate Our Liberties

by Ron Paul. The bipartisan tradition of using the IRS as a tool to harass political opponents suggests that the problem is deeper than just a few “rogue” IRS agents – or even corruption within one, two, three or many administrations. Instead, the problem lies in the extraordinary power the tax system grants the IRS. The IRS routinely obtains information about how we earn a living, what investments we make, what we spend on ourselves and our families, and even what charitable and religious organizations we support. Starting next year, the IRS will be collecting personally identifiable health insurance information in order to ensure we are complying with Obamacare’s mandates. The current tax laws even give the IRS power to marginalize any educational, political, or even religious organizations whose goals, beliefs, and values are not favored by the current regime by denying those organizations “tax-free” status. This is the root of the latest scandal involving the IRS. The U.S. flourished for over 120 years without an income tax, and our liberty and prosperity will only benefit from getting rid of the current tax system. The federal government will get along just fine without its immoral claim on the fruits of our labor, particularly if the elimination of federal income taxes are accompanied by serious reduction in all areas of spending, starting with the military spending beloved by so many who claim to be opponents of high taxes and big government. http://lewrockwell.com/paul/paul860.html

Ron Paul: ‘This is a House of Cards’

With no recovery in sight, where’s all this money going? It is creating bubbles. Bubbles in the housing sector, the stock market, and government debt. The national debt is fast approaching $17 trillion, with the Fed monetizing most of the newly issued debt. The stock market has been hitting record highs for the past two months as investors seek to capitalize on the Fed’s easy money. After all, as long as the Fed keeps the spigot open, nominal profits are there for the taking. But this is a house of cards. Eventually, just like in 2008-2009, the market will discipline the bad actions of the Fed and seek to find the real normal. In the meantime, real families are suffering. While Wall Street and the government take advantage of access to the Fed’s new “free” money, the Fed claims there is no inflation. But who hasn’t paid higher prices at the grocery store, the gas pump, for tuition, for insurance? http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-05-05/ron-paul-house-cards

Neo-Con War Addiction Threatens Our Future

by Ron Paul. The neo-con ideology promotes endless war, but neo-cons fight their battles with the blood of others. From the comfortable, subsidized offices of magazines like the Weekly Standard, the neo-conservatives urge the United States to engage in endless war – to be fought by the victims of the “poverty draft” from states where there are few jobs. Ironically, these young people cannot find more productive work because the Federal Reserve’s endless money printing to keep the war machine turning has destroyed our economy. The six trillion dollars that will be spent on the Iraq war are merely pieces of printed paper that further erode the dollar’s purchasing power now and well into the future. It is the inflation tax, which is the most regressive and cruel of all. http://original.antiwar.com/paul/2013/03/24/neo-con-war-addiction-threatens-our-future/

The Coming Debt Limit Drama: Government Wins, We Lose

by Ron Paul. Last week President Obama bluntly warned Congress that he will not negotiate when it comes to raising the statutory debt limit. If Republicans attempt to use a debt ceiling vote to win concessions on spending from the White House, Mr. Obama threatens simply to raise the limit by executive order or other unilateral action. This is business as usual in Washington. Democrats literally do not believe we have a deficit and debt problem, and reliably propose greater borrowing and spending. Republicans talk a good game when it comes to government debt, but have no credibility to argue against deficits or abuses of executive power. Brinksmanship ensues, and ugly compromises are reached at the 11th hour. We all lose as the endless borrowing and money printing further erode our dollar and our economy. http://the-free-foundation.org/tst1-21-2013.html

Ron Paul: Guns Are Americans’ ‘Line in the Sand’

The former Congressman challenged those calling for Americans to be disarmed in the name of protecting children. “If the government kills children it’s OK….How many of them are shouting and screaming about the children our drones are killing on a daily basis?,” asked Paul. Paul is referring to the fact that Barack Obama has overseen a drone strike policy that has killed at least 168 children in Pakistan alone – over eight times the number killed by Sandy Hook gunman Adam Lanza. A staggering 98% of the victims of Obama’s drone strike policy have been innocent civilians. “Compared to the violence that the government has perpetuated on the people compared to what the people do to each other, there’s no contest,” said Paul, referring to the fact that democide, or death by government, has killed hundreds of million of non-military civilians in the last 100 years alone. http://www.infowars.com/ron-paul-guns-are-americans-line-in-the-sand/

Government Security is Just Another Kind of Violence

by Ron Paul. The senseless and horrific killings last week in Newtown, Connecticut reminded us that a determined individual or group of individuals can cause great harm no matter what laws are in place. Connecticut already has restrictive gun laws relative to other states, including restrictions on fully automatic, so-called “assault” rifles and gun-free zones. Predictably, the political left responded to the tragedy with emotional calls for increased gun control. This is understandable, but misguided. The impulse to have government “do something” to protect us in the wake national tragedies is reflexive and often well intentioned. Many Americans believe that if we simply pass the right laws, future horrors like the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting can be prevented. But this impulse ignores the self evident truth that criminals don’t obey laws. The political right, unfortunately, has fallen into the same trap in its calls for quick legislative solutions to gun violence. If only we put armed police or armed teachers in schools, we’re told, would-be school shooters will be dissuaded or stopped. http://paul.house.gov/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2037&Itemid=69

Expanding Covert Warfare Makes Us Less Safe

In 2010, I said in a speech that there had been a CIA coup in this country. The CIA runs the military, the drone program, and they are in drug trafficking. The CIA is a secretive government all on its own. With this new expanded Defense Intelligence Agency presence overseas it will be even worse. Because the DIA is operationally under control of the Pentagon, direct Congressional oversight of the program will be more difficult. Perhaps this is as intended. The CIA will be training the DIA in its facilities to conduct operations overseas. Much of this will include developing targeting data for the president’s expanding drone warfare program. http://lewrockwell.com/paul/paul836.html

Farewell to a Giant

There is no doubt in my mind that history will regard Dr. Paul as the greatest congressman in US history. Ron Paul has done more to guard and defend liberty and constitutional government than perhaps any man since Thomas Jefferson. Dr. Paul’s legacy and influence will remain after most congressmen and senators have been long forgotten. What Patrick Henry was to Colonial America, Ron Paul has been to modern America. I am so grateful for the opportunity to get to personally know this man and to be able to call him my friend. It was with the utmost sadness that I watched Ron Paul give his Farewell Address to Congress last week. As he concluded his remarks and walked away from the Well of the House, I wept. I thought to myself: “There goes the greatest champion of liberty in a century; we may never see his likes again.” I wasn’t weeping for Dr. Paul though; I was weeping for America. http://chuckbaldwinlive.com/home/archives/5275

Ron Paul on Secession — Are We Free to Go?

There is nothing treasonous or unpatriotic about wanting a federal government that is more responsive to the people it represents. That is what our Revolutionary War was all about and today our own federal government is vastly overstepping its constitutional bounds with no signs of reform. At what point should the people dissolve the political bands which have connected them with an increasingly tyrannical and oppressive federal government? If people or states are not free to leave the United States as a last resort, can they really think of themselves as free? If a people cannot secede from an oppressive government, they cannot truly be considered free. http://www.silverdoctors.com/ron-paul-secession-are-we-free-to-go/

Why Obama Won

Barack Obama won the U.S. presidency for the same reason Romney would have…the same reason Ron Paul never had the ghost of a chance. Jewish big media puff some candidates and make others disappear. Jewish media, not the people, elect major political leaders. (Google “media bias against Ron Paul” and you’ll find more than a hundred articles documenting such bias against Paul, as also has existed against conservatives in every Presidential election in recent decades.) More than a century ago, “Christian” America, led by pro-Zionist evangelicals, adopted a policy of non-criticism of Jews and Zionism. In doing so, America invited Jewish supremacists to determine the future of our nation, including the privilege of determining who runs Congress and is President. http://www.truthtellers.org/alerts/WhyObamaWon.html

Election 2012: Ron Paul’s Revenge

What’s particularly nervy — galling, really — about the idea that the US ought to be spreading our democratic system across the globe is the fact that we don’t have anything close to democracy in this country. Nor do we have what the Founders intended to create: a republic, where the power of the state is limited by the Constitution. This is underscored every time Americans go to the polls, where they are confronted with “choices” determined by lawmakers whose chief interest in life is getting reelected with as little opposition as possible. These guardians of the polity have made it virtually impossible for so-called third parties — i.e. parties not controlled by corporate interests and foreign lobbyists — to even get on the ballot. And if you don’t like this state of affairs, and take action, the State will smack you right in the face. Take the case of Richard Winger, the third party expert and political analyst, editor of Ballot Access News, who, together with other interested parties, sued the state of California so that all candidates would have an equal right to show their party label on the ballot. With the passage of an “open primary” law, which effectively abolished third parties, California’s third party candidates couldn’t even identify themselves on the ballot. The lawsuit failed, however, and the judge ruled that the plaintiffs had to pay the court costs of the big corporate moneybags who had sponsored the “open primary” legislation to being with. Winger and his fellow third partiers got a bill for $243,279.50. Isn’t “democracy” wonderful? Well, no, it isn’t, not the current American version, which merely serves to legitimize — in a “legal” sense, at any rate — what is in reality an oligarchy. http://original.antiwar.com/justin/2012/11/06/election-2012-ron-pauls-revenge/

A Dream Dies, But the Beat Goes On

I am still trying to recover from the Republican Party’s overwhelming failure to understand that only Ron Paul was speaking good sense about the dismal state of U.S. foreign policy. Depending on whom you listen to, however, one might almost think in spite of all evidence to the contrary that the revolution is still going on and just one more tweak will deliver a Brave New World. That is because hardly a day passes without yet another email from the various organizations that are seeking to cash in on the Ron Paul legacy, demonstrating that they have the moxie to continue the fight. The most recent email from John Tate and Campaign for Liberty pledged to do something about drones, the latest empty promise that comes on top of not-quite-achieved victories in auditing the Fed and Pentagon and defending the Internet. Just send $50 or whatever one can spare. We’ll spend it wisely. Really. In spite of it all, I strongly believe that Dr. Paul’s immense contribution to the political debate forced something of a rethinking of the unfortunate direction that our nation has taken in the past 10 years. His message continues to resonate, if muted, and is worth more than an eventual footnote in a history book. In the area of foreign policy, he alone had the courage to speak out on issues that the other candidates chose to ignore while puffing out their chests, wrapping themselves in the flag, and boasting of “American Exceptionalism.” The only problem is that many of those who are now crying “legacy,” including Tate and Company, couldn’t have cared less about foreign policy when they might have actually done something to intensify the debate. They obsess about drones in the United States while ignoring their use overseas. They were precisely the folks who failed the campaign or who sold out in the first place. Onward and upward, leaving no man behind has turned into “let us reason together” and let’s “go along to get along.” http://original.antiwar.com/giraldi/2012/10/10/a-dream-dies-but-the-beat-goes-on/

Ron Paul: Government Dependency Will End in Chaos

The media insists on characterizing statements about dependency on government handouts as controversial, but in truth such statements are absolutely correct. It’s not that nearly half of Americans are dependent on government; it’s actually more than half. If one includes not just people on food stamps and welfare, but also seniors on Medicare, Social Security and people employed by the government directly, the number is more like 165 million out of 308 million, which is 53%. Some argue that Social Security and Medicare benefits are a right because people pay into these programs their whole lives, or that we need a government safety net in place for people who fall on hard times. However, this all becomes a moot point when the funds people depend on become worthless due to government default or rampant inflation.
This is less an issue of dignity or dependence on government, and more about the deceitfulness of government promises. http://www.silverdoctors.com/ron-paul-government-dependency-will-end-in-chaos/

Ron Paul and Walter Jones Refuse to Endorse Romney for President

David Stockman: ‘Ron Paul is Right: The Fed, and the Lunatics That Run It, Are the Heart of the Problem’

Former Reagan OMB Director David Stockman was ‘allowed’ on CNBC this morning – much to their chagrin now we suspect – and espoused his own brand of truthiness, starting with this epic tirade: “Ron Paul is the only one who is right about the Fed, and the Fed is the heart of the problem. They have destroyed the capital markets and the money markets; interest rates mean nothing; everything is trading off the Fed and Wall Street isn’t even home – as it’s now a bunch of computers trading word-clouds emitted by this central banker and that” In this environment, he goes on, everyone is being given the wrong signal – i.e. the Ryan/Romney campaign is about restoring vibrant capitalism; how can you do that when the financial markets are dead – the lifeblood of a capitalist system. And that is the problem today. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/stockman-ron-paul-right-fed-and-lunatics-run-it-are-heart-problem

What Ron Paul Didn’t Say

A Ron Paul speech at the RNC would have been about really doing what Republicans claim they stand for but never actually do: reduce the size and influence of the federal government. And it would have appealed not only to Republicans, but Democrats and independents as well, just as Paul’s campaign had during primary season. This could not be allowed to happen. He could not be allowed to speak. Instead, Ryan, Romney and others made some exhilarating speeches about free markets, smaller government and restoring America’s founding principles, while every detail of their plans completely contradicts those principles. http://communities.washingtontimes.com/neighborhood/reawakening-liberty/2012/sep/6/what-ron-paul-didnt-say/

Unquantifiable

Is the Ron Paul Revolution over? Far from it. It’s ready for the next chapter. I am eager to see what will happen next, yet I realize that good things may take time. Persistence is needed to fell a mighty oak. That the stubborn Ron Paulers persist in the absence of the motivational Ron Paul candidacy will be the true test. With that persistence, Ron Paul’s movement will be an engine for growth; it will be a virtual Silicon Valley for political and for the more important non-political activity. http://lewrockwell.com/stevo/stevo19.1.html

Even if it were possible to finally expose the conspiracy which controls both parties, they would reform and create new parties with new names and fresh faces, but controlled by the same people. The highly paid Paul advisers, some of whom have been negotiating with the Romney camp for many months, have already been co-opted and do not care about what interests the rest of us if it has anything to do with America’s shameful behavior overseas. Why? I suspect it is because they understand that attacking U.S. foreign policy eventually works its way around to the issue of Israel, which is something they choose not to deal with, for whatever reason. Nothing Succeeds Like ‘Success’

Ron Paul’s campaign has been a lodestar for anti-interventionists of the left as well as those on the right: it has inspired us, heartened us, and given us that most essential fuel — hope. Now it is giving us a lesson in how the political system in our “democratic” country really works. The two-party system is playing the role it was designed for: to keep the national discourse within “acceptable” bounds, and make sure nothing too “radical” is presented to the American public for their consideration. Aside from domestic issues, what this means is that our foreign policy of perpetual war is not up for debate: Romney’s straining to define some significant difference between himself and the administration on, say, Afghanistan, or Syria, underscores this filtering process at work. By privileging two state-sanctioned “parties,” the Democrats and the Republicans, with automatic ballot status and government subsidies, the political Establishment has rigged the game, and nothing proves this better than the experience of the Ron Paul campaign in the GOP this past primary season. The Paulians played by the rules: they organized at the grassroots level and got their people to the various local and state conventions, where the real delegate selection process took place. Highly organized, and dedicated to their candidate and their cause, the Paulians showed up in record numbers — and the Republican party bosses freaked out. http://original.antiwar.com/justin/2012/07/31/nothing-succeeds-like-success/

An audit will never happen. The Fed is a Jewish institution and gentiles will never be allowed to peek behind the curtain. You can bet that most of the House members who voted for the bill (to save themselves from the voters) asked for permission from their masters first. The Fed may be grumbling about uppity goyim and plotting revenge, but they are not worried about an audit.

Security and Self-Governance

by Ron Paul. We should face the sober reality that government cannot protect us from all possible harm. No matter how many laws we pass, no matter how many police or federal agents we put on the streets, no matter how routinely we monitor internet communications, a determined individual or group can still cause great harm. We as individuals are responsible for our safety and the safety of our families. Furthermore, it is the role of civil society rather than government to build a culture of responsible, peaceful, productive individuals. Government cannot mandate morality or instill hope in troubled individuals. External controls on our behavior imposed by government through laws, police, and jails usually apply only after a terrible crime has occurred. Internal self governance, by contrast, is a much more powerful regulator of human behavior than any law. This self-governance must be developed from birth, first by parents but later also through the positive influence of relatives and adult role models. Beyond childhood, character development can occur through religious, civic, and social institutions. Ultimately, self-governance cannot be developed without an underlying foundation of morality. http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul815.html

‘Audit the Fed’ Bill Advances in House

The House oversight committee voted Wednesday to demand a broad audit of the Federal Reserve System by congressional investigators — a major move that lawmakers said is designed to bring accountability to the murky workings of the independent central bank. The bill was sponsored by Rep. Rand Paul’s Oedipal Drama

The masks are off, and for the first time the junior Senator from Kentucky is showing his nasty side: in the Daily Paul interview he characterizes his critics as anarchists “ranting and raving on the internet,” and claims to have received death threats from his father’s supporters. This is quite an explosive charge to make on the eve of what will probably be the most heavily-policed national convention in history, with uniformed and covert law enforcement agents swarming over Tampa like … well, each to their own analogies. Suffice to say that Rand’s comments endanger what will undoubtedly be a beleaguered and harassed Paul contingent in Tampa: for him to violence-bait the movement he claims to support – and that put him in office – defies belief. http://original.antiwar.com/justin/2012/06/17/rand-pauls-oedipal-drama/

Endorsing Evil is Politics as Usual

Basically, Rand Paul came away with nothing in exchange for providing Mitt Romney with some modicum of acceptability and respectability vis-à-vis the millions of Paulistas and tea partyers who support him and his father. Mitt does not want to audit the Fed but would indeed limit government regulation as it relates to himself and his predatory capitalist friends. He might or might not oppose SOPA, but freedom of the Internet is not a core issue for him and might, in fact, be something he opposes for copyright protection, i.e., corporate money, reasons. And Rand is dead wrong about Mitt the commander in chief. It is generally accepted that Mitt’s foreign policy will be a repeat of George W. Bush’s, except maybe even worse. Rand Paul’s Betrayal

June 7, 2012, a day that will go down in political infamy. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, son of Presidential candidate and Congressman Ron Paul of Texas, has announced his endorsement of Mitt Romney while appearing on Fox News’ Hannity show. This feels like betrayal; perhaps not of his father Ron but certainly of his father’s supporters in the liberty movement. His fervent supporters are perhaps naively shocked but certainly rightfully incensed and disheartened by this development. The “cult” of Paul is shattered and Webster Tarpley’s description of the Paul campaign as “controlled opposition”, for which Tarpley received a cavalcade of criticism and insult from some Ron Paul supporters, appears all the more prescient. Now, let it be clear, this does not undo Ron Paul’s excellent voting record in the House of Representatives, consistent message of liberty delivered over decades, and willingness to frankly discuss a range of key national issues from the Federal debt to foreign misadventures. However, it raises a number of serious questions and deep concern. http://truthalert.net/How%20Do%20You%20Spell%20Traitor.htm

The Possibility of a Ron Paul Third-Party Run for President

We are certainly at a crossroads in America, with Election 2012. The political ruling class has usurped many of our rights away, and stolen much of the private wealth and capital that had provided jobs and opportunities and had raised the standard of living more than in any other society. But the farce that these elections continue to be merely reinforces my point that such elections are mere rearranging of deck chairs. The Ron Paul people have been following the rules at the state conventions and winning delegates to go to the national convention, while, apparently, the Romney people have been allegedly engaging in cheating and dirty tricks, the latest of which has been in my dreaded state, the People’s Republic of Massachusetts. But why Ron Paul is trying to get the nomination of a party that has been a socialist-neocon-central planning party for 150 years, I’ll never know. What Does Ron Paul Want?

This is the question puzzling Paul’s friends, as well as his enemies. A recent announcement by the campaign that the anti-interventionist Congressman and presidential candidate is not spending money in the remaining primary states provoked a Drudge headline: “Paul Out.” That is the GOP Establishment’s fondest wish, but the reality is that Paul is far from “out”: his campaign is merely recalibrating its tactics, concentrating on getting delegates through the complicated and often arcane process of party caucuses and state conventions. In short, Paul is pursuing the very same strategy he’s been talking about since Day One of his remarkably successful campaign: harnessing the enthusiasm and discipline of his supporters to enter a basically hostile entity – the pro-war, pro-Big Government Republican party – and challenging the Powers That Be. http://original.antiwar.com/justin/2012/05/17/what-does-ron-paul-want/

If elected president, Paul’s most valuable contribution to a prosperous and secure American future might well lie in his application of a noninterventionist foreign policy, following the wishes of George Washington and the other founders. Before explaining why Paul’s foreign policy would benefit the United States, it is worth rebutting those ill-educated jackasses in politics, the media, and the academy who denigrate the founders as “dead white males.” To them, the modern world is so different from Washington’s time that nothing the founders said or wrote pertains to contemporary foreign-policymaking. Penny Unwise, Dollar Insane

If Congress were truly interested in the cost of coinage, it would begin by reining in and eventually abolishing the Federal Reserve System. The Fed alone is responsible for the devaluation of the dollar. The problem with the penny and nickel is not that the price of copper and nickel are rising, but that the purchasing power of the dollar is declining due to the Fed’s currency debasement. The same pattern has been seen throughout history, as debased currency results in the value of the metal content of coins outstripping their face value. Coins disappear from circulation and only paper money circulates. Finally, the currency collapses. Coins will begin to reappear once the monetary unit is restabilized, usually with the introduction of an entirely new currency and after much economic hardship for the people. http://lewrockwell.com/paul/paul801.html

An Open Letter to Ron Paul

You’ve captured the youth vote in practically every contest, while losing among the older set and among hardcore Republican voters. In short, the demographic you do best in winning over is the least likely to be able to vote in a closed Republican primary. I would estimate that roughly two thirds to three quarters of your constituency is outside the ranks of the GOP. In view of these realities, I have a question: What is the endgame? http://original.antiwar.com/justin/2012/04/05/an-open-letter-to-ron-paul/

I wish they would hurry up and say, "hell no, we won't go", but don't hold your breath. KIA numbers would probably have to get a lot higher before they might refuse to fight, or going to war with Iran, which has a military that could actually inflict serious casualties on them. Maybe when American soldiers start coming home in body bags by the thousands every month, they might have a loss of motivation to continue fighting the Jew's wars.

LabMan

One very solid point about the Paul run is the support he gets from the military,it would be interesting to know if folks in the military are receiving any backlash for that support, indoctrination is the key to getting people into the service and sending them to fight, especially these Middle Eastern debacles, support for Ron Paul shows that they are "getting it",stop loss situations keep them going back for more tours of duty, but what if the majority of troops said,"hell no,we won't go"?

Ron Paul is Respected Around the World

However, Americans’ centric view of themselves may not be completely without reason. In fact, after my gratifying conversations with these travelers, I realized that America is still the big elephant in the room that everybody notices when it moves. They may not know all of the small details about local legislation or political bickering but they notice the big moves that send ripple effects across the globe like the wars and the fact that oil trades in U.S. dollars. And that seems to be why they know who Ron Paul is, because he’s the only one talking about bringing about peace by ending the U.S. involvement in foreign wars and the only one who seems to understand how devaluing the dollar affects every economy in the world. http://lewrockwell.com/rep3/ron-paul-respected-around-world.html

Ron Paul: GOP Doesn’t Care About Presidents Who Assassinate American Citizens

GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul said on CBS’ Face The Nation Sunday that he is determined to continue his campaign in an effort to “save the Republican Party from themselves”. The Congressman declared that there was no way he would quit because he is the only candidate who wants to restore the Republican party to its founding principles of limited government. http://www.infowars.com/paul-gop-doesnt-care-about-presidents-who-assassinate-american-citizens/

While I commend Dr. Paul's efforts and the ideas he is planting in people's minds for the future, the Republican Party, like the Democratic Party and whole rotten-to-the-core system is beyond fixing and deserves to die. Hopefully 4 more years of the Kenyan will convince everyone(except government parasites, of course) of this. Paul was pretty much White peoples' last hope within the system even though he is not WN himself. There is obviously a reason so many people are arming themselves as quickly as they can.

Ron Paul’s Delegate Strategy May be Working

Given his campaign’s strategy of focusing on caucuses and out hustling his rivals at local, county, and state conventions nationwide the main beneficiary of a brokered convention would be Texas Congressman Ron Paul. The fact of the matter is that most Americans do not get involved in politics. Many rightly view it as an ugly, corrupt business. Others are too busy following American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, or the latest escapades of Lindsay Lohan. While others would rather leave it to the professionals. But, Ron Paul supporters are different. They may not outnumber the supporters of other candidates, but they are hungrier and more dedicated to their principles. They are much more willing to show up, outlast, and fight for delegate positions than the supporters of rival candidates. These attributes seem to be paying dividends for the Paul campaign at least in the early stages of the delegate selection process. https://theviewfromabroad.wordpress.com/2012/03/12/ron-pauls-delegate-strategy-may-be-working/

Ron Paul Tells Reporters He is Suspicious About Results of GOP Caucuses

In a conversation with reporters in Missouri this weekend, GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul said that he and his supporters were suspicious about the outcomes of several caucuses because the crowds and volumes of support have been much bigger for him than for any other candidate. “Quite frankly I don’t think the other candidates get crowds like this, and we get them constantly” Paul said, after he had spoken to yet another crowd of over 2500 supporters in Missouri. “You would get the perception that we would be getting a lot more votes.” He added. “Sometimes we get thousands of people like this and we’ll take them to the polling booth, yet we won’t win the caucus.” Paul said, adding “A lot of our supporters are very suspicious about it.” http://www.infowars.com/ron-paul-tells-reporters-he-is-suspicious-about-results-of-gop-caucuses/

Paul shot himself in the foot and lost whatever chance he had for election when he started yammering on about the need to legalize drugs. FACT... The vast majority of people who lean "conservative" are not agreeable to legalizing drug use. Why Paul would choose to essentially kill his chance at the Presidency over such a ridiculous proposition shows something of an incredible lack of good judgment. It is a shame because he brought some very good things to the table such as honest money, no Fed, and getting out of the overseas war racket. And he threw it all away so some jackass can stick a needle in his arm? Real good thinking there. Even if I were on board with the legalization of drugs I would have damn well advised him to let it lie low until after the nomination and then we can talk about it. And while I'm at it, here is another Paul gem... Q: Blacks are jailed at four times the rate of whites in South Carolina, and are most often convicted on drug offenses. Do you see racial disparities in drug-related arrests and convictions as a problem? PAUL: Yes. Definitely. There is a disparity. It's not that it is my opinion, it is very clear. Blacks and minorities who are involved with drugs, are arrested disproportionately. They are tried and imprisoned disproportionately. They suffer the consequence of the death penalty disproportionately. Rich white people don't get the death penalty very often. And most of these are victimless crimes. Sometimes people can use drugs and arrested three times and never committed a violent act and they can go to prison for life. I think there's discrimination in the system, but you have to address the drug war. I would say the judicial system is probably one of the worst places where prejudice and discrimination still exists in this country. Why Evangelicals Dislike Ron Paul

Is supporting war more important for evangelicals than their social values? Isn’t Ron Paul a social conservative? He opposes abortion, gay marriage and promiscuous sex, he has never been divorced and certainly supports family values, but he believes in limited government. Two of his brothers are ministers. Why then are evangelical leaders now opting for Santorum, and before him Gingrich? The one big area of disagreement with Ron Paul is war; foreign wars and the domestic one against drugs. For this they oppose him. Santorum supports unending war in Afghanistan, backing Israel without limit and a new war against Iran. http://lewrockwell.com/orig13/utley1.1.1.html

Ron Paul to Ben Bernanke: ‘People Lose Trust in the Government Because You Lie to Them About Inflation’

Anytime Ron Paul sits across from Ben Bernanke you know sparks will fly. The Secret Media War of 2012

“See this room? Two-thirds of us laid off when Ron Paul is president.” – A hot microphone picked up a reporter attacking Ron Paul recently before a Pentagon briefing began. We are currently in the middle of the long war of the Internet Reformation, although the press will never mention this. Effectively, there has been an ongoing war between the non-controlled alternative media and the establishment media since the inception of LewRockwell.com in 1999. Since then many quality alternative media websites have been added to the competition while the elite media’s credibility, reach and ability to manipulate debate and public opinion has been declining. The Internet Reformation is slowly winning and to date, this has been shown most clearly with the 2012 Ron Paul presidential campaign. http://thedailybell.com/3647/Ron-Holland-The-Secret-Media-War-of-2012

It’s Overtime in America and Sudden Death is Near

Regardless what others say, the game is nearly over in America if you properly define America as the land, the people and the confederation of now 50 nation-states which are to be defined- and governed- by laws not men and that law the United States Constitution. I’ll describe our game scenario shortly. If you consider America to be an empire which is operated by- and primarily for the benefit of- powerful interests capable of influencing government more than “the people” in utter disregard of our Constitution, thereby making us a land governed by men not law, then it’s a great sunny morning in America, early in the first quarter, ripe with the possible usurpation of the land and natural resources and liberty of others. http://www.etherzone.com/2012/msmith022712.shtml

How Ron Paul’s Presidency Will Reshape America

America is a place where neighbors rarely speak openly about politics, and when they do, it is usually only to repeat media sound bites. An Obama / Paul race will change that. Two differing ideologies will Clash. One for greater individual freedom. The other for more government. This competition of ideas will not occur with other Republican candidates, since they are ideologically aligned with President Obama when it comes to the power of the individual over the power of the state. Inevitably, debates will take place between the two candidates. Discussions in the new media will take place on the candidates. And most importantly, neighbors will discuss these two ideologies with each other. Because the differences between them are so significant these two candidates will compel us to move beyond the media sound bites and really examine our beliefs about the idea of America and the direction we should take as a nation. http://www.infowars.com/the-great-debate-how-ron-pauls-presidency-will-reshape-america/

What Ron Paul’s Detractors Reveal

It is no secret that I am a huge Ron Paul fan–and I have been for many years. Do I agree with him on every single issue? Of course not. And I don’t have to agree with him on every single issue to know Ron Paul is the only true constitutionalist in the Presidential field–from either major party. And when a President (or any other public office holder) takes his or her oath of office, they do not swear to be a good conservative, or to be a good Christian, or to support the state of Israel, or to “create jobs,” etc., etc. They swear to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. That is their solemn oath before God and the American people. Nothing more. Nothing less. And for over two decades, Congressman Ron Paul has demonstrated his fidelity to that oath. And for that, I can and must support him.

This compendium of evidence, and the information presented above is merely scratching the surface, illustrates the fact that Ron Paul’s failure to win any of the primaries despite his massive financial backing and grass roots support, is almost certainly a result of vote fraud on behalf of the GOP establishment, which has conspired in almost every state to cheat Ron Paul out of building the kind of momentum that would have provided him the opportunity to challenge Mitt Romney for the Republican nomination. http://www.infowars.com/ron-paul-is-being-cheated-out-of-the-republican-nomination/

This is not a surprise to many or most of us. You can go back 6 months on ANU and look at the comments made be others and myself telling you how it was going to play out. It is very simple people, you can not play by their rules or their game and expect to win EVER. Being honest, noble and rightous only matters and counts when you are dealing with likewise people...................... I have just finished reading the book by Ian Smith ( PM of Rhodesia) called Bitterharvest. It tells the tale of the fall of Rhodesia. Smith was an honest and noble man that lived by a code of fair play and decency. In other words he used the Marcus of Queensbury Rules when fighting. Well Smith was a fool because he fought against creatures that used every dirty trick in the book to take over his country and they succeded. Even in the end Smith felt comfort in knowing or thinking he played fair. Well in the end the communist savages took over the country the Rhodesians carved out of the wilderness,in the proccess 10,000's of White Rhodesians got butchered and lost everything. So old Smitty was a fool that lost everything because you can't fight a fair fight if the enemy doesn't fight fair and our enemy will never fight fair. It's that simple.

Voting Out the War Party?

There are two conclusions we can draw from the mysterious case of Maine’s vanishing voters: first and foremost is that it isn’t a mystery at all, but the result of a deliberate effort to steal the election for Romney. Secondly, if they’re doing it in Maine, they’re doing it elsewhere: indeed, there is plenty of evidence that’s just what they tried to do in Iowa. If we project the case of Maine’s disappearing voters nationwide, onto all states holding caucuses instead of primaries, then the fraud takes on a scale that threatens to delegitimize the entire process. This at a time when the entire political system is distrusted and even disdained by large portions of the electorate: turnout in the GOP primaries has been significantly lagging this time around, hardly what one would expect from the rank-and-file of a party supposedly eager to overturn the Obama administration. With billionaires buying elections, and both parties under the thumb of the Money Power, ordinary Americans just don’t take elections that seriously anymore. The idea that the electoral process confers any kind of real legitimacy on the victors is a fast-dissipating myth. http://original.antiwar.com/justin/2012/02/16/voting-out-the-war-party/

Arch hypocrisy from Nimmo on this occasion no less, for climbing aboard the Ron Schmaul bandwagon, I calls him the Duke of Buckingham of 911 truth, because like the Duke, who in 1483 turned against his former mentor King Richard III, who lopped his head in response, he changed sides! This is how he described Ron Schmaul in 2006 " “Ron Paul reaffirmed the fantasy, that al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden attacked the US, when there is no evidence to validate this fairy tale!” Kurt Nimmo @ ADE Fantasy, fairy tales and now a “myth,” does he know of any hard evidence, or factual news at all .. the real truth is that RP is a product of the Ziomossad infiltration process, whence traitors and scoundrels are made Presidents, Senators and Congressmen! Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is allegedly culpable in an extraordinary amount of killing, including the hands on murder of her former lover Vince Foster, in the White House in 1992. 911 was an inside job .. the evidence file, that includes guided missile strikes at the Pentagon and at the WTC, has been entirely neglected by Nimmo in the first instance, and by RP and his similarly treasonous son, US Senator Rand Paul ever since! That the remainder of the US social and political hierarchy, ignores the same evidence, with all mainstream news casters, while hellish war takes place globally, and paid thugs and disrupters are bussed into OWS, thence and Egyptian and Greek demonstrations, from lunatic asylums! CPAC Straw Poll Changes Hurt Ron Paul’s Hat-Trick Chances

The organizers of a major conservative conference here over the next three days are trying to widen participation in a straw poll, a not-too-subtle attempt to give a Republican presidential candidate other than Rep. Can Ron Paul Be Tamed?

Paul and his movement are onto the War Party’s games, and they are consciously fighting this left-right illusion — with amazing success. The time is right for it: the nation faces a crisis on a scale not seen since the 1930s. Once again we face the twin specters of an economy in collapse and a world at war. Paul cuts through the ideological fog and in doing so breaks with all the conventions, the worn and now useless political labels that have misled us for so long. Smearing him hasn’t worked, mockery has just added to his fame, and ignoring him has seriously backfired on the mainstream media, which has made itself more hated by the Republican rank-and-file than it already is — no mean feat. Their last hope is to co-opt him – or, at least, co-opt his movement. And we are seeing the first signs of such an attempt in a front page story in the Washington Post, which posits the existence of a “strategic alliance” between Mitt Romney and Paul.  http://original.antiwar.com/justin/2012/02/02/can-ron-paul-be-tamed/

While the media spotlight has been on Florida, Paul has been waging a quieter, parallel campaign in the caucus states with contests coming up in February. Unlike Florida — which awards its 50 delegates through a winner-take-all process — many of these states distribute delegates proportionally, allowing second and third place winners to nab some of them. The result is that the Texas congressman could end up winning more delegates over the next few weeks than anyone except Romney. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0112/72270.html

How Ron Paul Could Win

Both Republicans and Democrats have demonstrated disregard for the civil liberty protections guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Among the visible candidates for president, only Ron Paul has respect for the Constitution. As it is now possible for the executive branch to take away the life and liberty of a U.S. citizen without due process of law, the Constitution is for all practical purposes lost. Tyranny looms, and Ron Paul is the only candidate who stands against tyranny. This is why I have written that Ron Paul is our last chance and encouraged his libertarian handlers to be flexible enough for the electorate to elect Ron Paul. I agree that Ron Paul, if elected president, would be hamstrung by the Establishment, but the other candidates offer no hope whatsoever. What is at stake is not libertarianism, but the U.S. Constitution. Unfortunately, not many libertarians see that. Neither do many progressives. If truth be known, Americans are too divided and in opposition to one another to be able to unite against tyranny. http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2012/01/27/how-ron-paul-could-win/
