The US envoy to the United Nations told the Security Council on Thursday that troops loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi were increasingly engaging in sexual violence and some had been issued the impotency drug Viagra, diplomats said. Several UN diplomats who attended a closed-door Security Council meeting on Libya told Reuters that US Ambassador Susan Rice raised the Viagra issue in the context of increasing reports of sexual violence by Qaddafi’s troops. For the average human being, it was not possible to watch the video of two black women beating the life out of a defenseless white woman at a McDonald’s in Baltimore and not feel complete and total revulsion. Adding to the horror was the knowledge that the black employees—one who only half-heartedly attempted to intervene, one who was filming the barbarism, and perhaps others not seen on the video—did absolutely nothing to save the white woman from her assailants. But more importantly, I then thought about the fact that we have a black president who so far has remained silent about the crime. We spent a lot of time in the Middle East this year, during what history will surely regard as the equivalent of a seismic earthquake. In country after country, people rose up and either forced from power tyrants propped up by the United States or put them on the defensive, promising reform after reform in the vain hope of convincing their constituents to go back to sleep. But the “Arab Street” is awakened from its slumber now, and there is no turning back. The revolt that swept through Tunisia and Egypt, and that is continuing now through Yemen, Libya, Syria and Bahrain, should be a wake-up call for both the U.S. government and the remaining dictators. On a secluded estate in England, a small group from the elite UK think-tank, The Royal Society, are openly discussing control over the planet’s weather. The weekend of March 18-20, I attended the ‘Left Forum’ hosted by Pace University in New York City. The forum featured a motley mix of hard left extremists, many of whom openly espoused the violent overthrow of the government and the use of state power to physically destroy conservatives. It also featured a great number of American educators. A new study from the Translational Genomics Research Institute has found that 47 percent of tested samples of supermarket meat and poultry were infected with Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, which causes a range of health problems including skin infections and food poisoning. Half of the bacteria found in the study were resistant to at least three antibiotics. The Department of Veterans Affairs is quite animate in leaving you and your family in misery. The agency that is supposed to look out for your best interests and help care for you, Department of Veterans Affairs has failed miserably, it is after all a government agency, and has dealt a great has even made a deal with Prudential Financial Inc which was withholding the death benefits from your family when you are deceased. Prudential would then use this money for their investment pleasures. We have only just begun. I hope that some of you remember the depleted uranium rounds you used while deployed to either Iraq or Afghanistan. Some of you probably had some concerns about handling depleted uranium and your officers probably told you that it was harmless since the word “depleted” is next to “uranium” but this is really a misnomer. Uranium is still uranium no matter how much of it is in an armor-piercing projectile. Once depleted uranium munitions explode, uranium oxide is released into the atmosphere or absorbed into the soil which is extremely toxic. There are thousands of Iraqi children now being born with birth defects as a result of uranium weapons usage in and around the cities of Iraq. God knows how many innocent Afghanis and most likely Libyans have been exposed to this toxicity. Of course, there are also countless numbers of veterans who have also been exposed to this weapon of mass of destruction, so there is no telling how many of them have been afflicted. The government refuses to acknowledge that “depleted” uranium is terrible for one’s health. This is also cited as a potential cause of the Gulf War Syndrome the veterans of Gulf War I have encountered.
